Tempted on this as my 60" inch plasma is on it's way out, think there was a 60" inch version the other day i missed at ao.com for £530 with discount code.....any opinions on the make please ?
Do i wait until jan 2018 sales maybe......???

Ideally looking for a 60" for around £500 - £600 budget.

Richer sounds have superb guarantees on most tv's 6 years.

Great tv, great price. If you don’t like the feet buy a VESA stand from amazon. I bought both and don’t regret it.

We have a non 4k version. Cant really fault the set for its price. We had a soundbar which, as is the case with most TVs, helped with sound immensely. Make sure your bench/stand is wide enough for the feet if its not being wall mounted. These dont feel as solid as our Samsung or LG, but how often do you touch the TV?!
A monkey for a 55 4k tv seems very reasonble to me, not sure about the quality thou i only ever buy sony.
I bought a 55M7000 earlier in the year, we had a sound bar already but only use it when watching movies, the speakers are plenty loud for everything else.

quality wise the tv is very very nice, as good as the panasonic it replaced
Only available in store, no stores within 60 miles of Carlisle, so cold for me.
Getting in before the relentless (and unrealistic) questions about if this is 'true' HDR;

It's 8-bit + FRC.

What does 8 bit + FRC mean?
shame about only 2 HDMI’s

It's not true 10-bit HDR with local dimming, wide colour gamut and brightness which certifies it as 'true HDR', it's a minefield. And according to the Hi-Sense website, it has 3 HDMI.

Maybe move closer to a town/city ?

As has been stated on many other threads here, and you can see reviews all over. Hi-Sense produce good value for money TVs, and they would certainly be at the top of my list for budget 4K TV offerings, two things concern me; build quality(though the price reflects this) and despite it having the port for it, according to Hi-Sense, this set is not FreesatHD capable, which is a must for my next TV purchase.

I have last years 75" Hisense TV and mine does Freesat HD, I would be very surprised if this is not Freesat HD capable.

Also, on the subject of Hisense.... They are actually the third biggest manufacturer of TV's in the world. I convinced my g/f for buy a 55" 4k one from Argos a good while back and I was blown away by the picture quality. I thought it was easily as good as the Sony Bravia I had at the time, despite being a good £200 cheaper. I strongly suggest looking at AVForums for hints and tips on setting up the picture, it will be worth it

Thanks for your input.....yesterday on amazon they had the sony bravia 55" for £549 but that has gone now so i could have had hisene or sony for £50 quid difference so which would you have gone for hisene or sony as price near enough same ?

I had my concern's a £550 sony 4k tv might not be upto the same spec as lower branded models ?
With such a small price difference I would be torn between the two. Check on AVForums for any reviews, but I would be more tempted by the Hisense just because of the quality of my g/fs set - and hers was a low end model and was about £470 from Argos! (55")

Hmm, I may pop down to my local RS then and chat with them about it, as I said, I was just going off of the tech specs from the hisense website. Will see what I can find out! :-)
Nearest store to Colchester is London over 65 miles away.

Just move. It's an absolute dump full of local inbreds. I worked there for a few weeks and it really is a dire place to live. Disgusting people.
whats the diff between this on the 6800 55"? Price difference is £100 from costco
Also remember this guarantee is 6 years which is better than costco plus 2% back on quidco, still tempted as my screen is dying before my eyes and don't look like it will last till jan sales 18 lol

Does this TV have FreesatHD? The Hisense website is unclear despite it having an F-Type screw connector for satellite.

Sorry mate not sure as this isn't something I would ever use. I'll check next time I'm watching
This is defo the brand for a budget 4k tv... Great spec for the price. I'm looking for a mid-range, but heat added
If you want a 60 inch TV op this has gone just under 600 quid.Has been a little cheaper recently but I can strongly recommend it.

just ordered thanks, local RS shop said they had loads in the warehouse
Has anyone connected an audio system or soundbar to this TV using the Optical Output? I have a Hisense 45n5750, with same set of connections as 55n5700, and have found that my standard TOSlink cable does not fit the optical connector on this TV. Before anyone questions the cable I am using it has been used successfully with a previous Samsung D5520 TV and my son's Hisense 43m3000 TV.
