great price just ordered 5! heat!
Been put off loads of TVs due to reading on the HUKD comments; I was looking at Richer Sounds earlier and saw these two:

Seems to allude to 10 bit (the one posted here is HDR10/HLG - just super confused. I've tried googling about all this but not really yielding user friendly. Is this listed 55 inch better than those two?

Hisense 8 bit +frc so not full 10 bit hdr same with Samsung I think. Need to spend £1000 plus to get 10 bit I think.
I have literally just purchased this Samsung UE40MU6400:

johnlewis.com/sam…464

Could somebody possible suggest an alternative or better tv? The 55 inch above is a little to big for the area and £80 more which is a little bit of a turn off.

yes i know that. wondering if someone who has hisense with their own OS (VIdaa U?) has found a way to sideload applications. looking online it seems it might be possible using the opera browser/app store

His point is the sideloading can only be done when they use a operating system thats made from another operating system and then only one operating system on tv is android and this is not so it is impossible as much skill as you have. Although hisense IS android unless this is completely different.

This one is vudaa (their own OS). Just thought if someone had found a way install kodi directly on this although a new fire tv seems a better option
