Be totally immersed in TV, with the Ultra HD Hisense

Fabulous 4K on the big screen
The bigger the screen the greater the difference 4K makes, so on this 58" stunner, it's a big difference! With four times the resolution of Full 1080p HD, 4K (UHD) TV offers stunning detail and resolution for totally life-like realism. Even without a native 4K UHD signal, UHD upscaling means that you can scale up an ordinary HD signal to make the best of the screen. Get Netflix 4K or other 4K content and the image just keeps getting better.

Hisense 3D for a thrilling experience
Once you've experienced 3D TV, ordinary TV just never seems quite the same. Images appear to occupy the space behind the screen as full as 'reaching out' into the room. For a totally immersive TV experience, 3D still takes some beating. One pair of 3D glasses is included to get you started.

Powerful processing
Packing a Quad Core processor, the Hisense is a powerful performer with Smart content, too. Connect up to your home network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and enjoy access to a wide range of apps including favourites such as Facebook, Netflix, YouTube and Twitter. A built-in web browser and DLNA compatibility lets you browse and stream to your heart's content.

Socket to 'em
Four HDMI sockets means this TV is every bit as well connected as the other big-name TVs. Two of these sockets are the HDMI 2.0 version and the Hisense is also compatible with HEVC, meaning that it can stream Netflix 4K with ease. Other connections include no fewer than three USB sockets - ideal for connecting memory sticks and other media devices. Throw in an optical connection for a soundbar/base and you've got everything you need in a 4K TV.

Fantastic Freeview HD
It might be some way behind 4K, but Freeview HD is still a huge step-up on regular Freeview TV. If you're not using Sky, Virgin, BT or another digital TV provider, Freeview HD is the way to go for free-to-access digital TV through your existing aerial. Compared to standard Freeview, images are far more detailed, with rich colour and enhanced realism.

PVR USB
One of the USB sockets lets you connect up a USB memory stick to use as a PVR. PVR stands for Personal Video Recorder and lets you record TV programmes via the set's Electronic Programme Guide. It can also pause live TV - just like a subscription based set-top box.

Enjoy the bigger picture, with this amazing value 4K TV from Hisense.

Bought h55m7000 55" from john lewis with price match for £599. Dont think u'll notice much difference in size between 55" n 58"
How's the 3d on these? And yes, I realise it's dead tech now but like the option of having it.
is this the newer range
Death to those wide stance stands!

No, it's the older range.

New model range start with 'N', eg 55N5700 or 65N6800

It does have HDR. Hisense released firmware for it to be enabled.

I have this TV. It's very good indeed.

I'm more interested in 3D than 4k. Got a lot of 3D bluray's and nothing in 4K

Same, have a passive 3d LG tv and wondering if this active 3d is any good, thinking of upgrading.
I'm watching Secret Life of Pets 3D on this TV now and it is superb.

The set only comes with one pair of glasses. You can buy additional non brand glasses on eBay for around a tenner. I bought a pair with a certain amount of cynicism and they work perfectly.

Honestly, this is a great TV. I got it a few months when it was on AO for just less than £500. I would be happy paying £600 for this. PQ is excellent. I can't comment on AQ as I have mine plugged into a receiver so never used the inbuilt speakers.

As I said before this, this TV does have HDR once you update the firmware. Is this as good as one of the latest LG's with Dolby Vision? Well, no. But it is nearly half the price. I got this to dip the toe with 4k UHD and it truly is amazing.

And yeah, I love 3D. Finding a new set with 3D is a nightmare. I prefer the 3D playback on this to my last Panasonic set.

I really recommend this TV enough.
I have this TV also, paid around the £500 mark in November but even at this price its still well worth it. Local Dimming also works quite well for an edge lit setup, inky blacks a reasonable viewing angle for a VA panel. Build quality is also excellent with the stand legs and screen bezel edge made for actual metal.

As for 3D, I've not used the glasses that came with mine but I tried the Samsung glasses from our living room TV. I wasn't impressed, the glasses seemed to work fine but the image was full of cross talk. That said I'm still running mine on the original firmware so maybe there's an update that improves 3D performance and maybe enables 4K YouTube which doesn't seem to work on my set.
There have been firmware updates to improve 3D. I understand the Hisense 3D glasses are ugly as **** - the ones for my Panasonic were lovely looking - but they work brilliantly.

If you don't mind me asking, did you get your Firmware updates from Hisense's website or did you find them on forums. Also, does 4K YouTube playback work on your TV?
I got the firmware updates from AVForums, but you can just ask Hisense direct and they send out USB sticks with the firmware.

As for YouTube. I don't know as I've never tried it. I have a Nvidia Shield TV so just always used that.
hot deal

Seriously, I'm into 3D and I've demoed many TV's in the last 5 years. Every single Active shutter 3DTV has been rubbish. If you want 3D that doesn't suffer crosstalk or give you headaches, buy the, (way more expensive,) LG OLED C6.
Does this have 10bit HDR following the FW update?

Hi,
i got this tv a few days ago via this very posting here on hotukdeals, and have searched the net for the firmware upgrade but cannot find the best one for this set. avforums abounds with people asking for firmware for various sets but often complain of massive bugs, and the correct firmware for this set does not seem to be known ?.

even the hisense website says no firmware update for this set, and the update menu on the tv itself says no update found.
im currently on v00.01.00a.g0806
i have no hdr and 3d is chock full of crosstalk

could you be so kind as to post a link to the firmware you used to upgrade, it would help me out a lot,
cheers

Hello. I'm away with work at the moment but I'm back at the weekend so I'll have a look for you. Cheers.
It's also worth contacting Hisense direct over the phone. They're very helpful.

hi, thanks for the reply.

judging by avforums, hisense customer support mostly ignores firmware querys, and even then, will send links to wrong firmware.

i dont wanna be a pain, but your help would be much appreciated, i await the weekend with bated breath !

cheers

yep. have this tv myself and the 3d is terrible. plenty cross talk and no amount of firmware updates have made it any better
ReflexReact

Does this have 10bit HDR following the FW update?

no. the panel is 8 bit. f/w updates cannot change this
Not that cheap given lack of proper HDR.
