Unlock the beauty of the ULED screen with the 4K HDR picture of Hisense’s U8B. Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio deliver a more vivid, lifelike and cinematic experience, with 1000 nits peak brightness. Smooth Motion Rate 200 improves fluidity, and its Wide Colour Gamut produces a lush, wider spectrum of colour for heightened realism. The intuitive VIDAA U 3.0 smart platform opens up a world of online apps and streaming services, while built-in Freeview Play makes it simpler to catch up with your favourite shows.

ULED Technology
A ULED (Ultra LED) screen enhances the viewing experience and the picture’s realism beyond stunning 4K resolution. Ultra Colour delivers more vivid shades, Ultra Contrast gives lifelike brightness and depth through Local Dimming, while Ultra Motion ensures smooth visuals.

HDR with Dolby Vision
HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. This set supports Dolby Vision HDR for a richly authentic, cinema-like image.

4K Ultra High Definition
This 65” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail.

Features:

1000 nits Peak Brightness: With a peak of 1000 nits, brightness is expanded for stunning whites, darker shadows and more vibrant colour.

Dolby Atmos Sound: immersive Dolby Atmos places sound within three dimensions for an enveloping soundscape, with you at the centre of a cinematic audio experience.

Smooth Motion Rate 200: Watch the action unfold seamlessly. Blur and lag is reduced, and clarity is enhanced for a smooth picture of fluid motion. Perfect for fast action movies and live sports.

Local Dimming: Each backlight zone can be controlled independently, giving deeper blacks and bright whites, for more authentic, lifelike contrast.

Wide Colour Gamut: With a wider range of shades than standard screens, you’re engaged in a rich and real-world colour-scape.

Seamless Smart Platform
Hisense’s redesigned VIDAA U Smart Platform has never been easier to use. Simplified design allows you to effortlessly switch between apps and devices in three or fewer steps. Enjoy catch-up TV services with Freeview Play, and a world of on-demand entertainment including 4K streaming from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Youtube*.

Freeview Play
This Hisense TV features Freeview Play. Combining catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television, watching what you want, when you want, is now easier than ever. It’s free from subscription and is compatible with existing broadband services too. Services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5 are also available without having to open specific applications. This gives effortless scroll back so you never miss a second of your favourite shows.

Perfect partners
With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV’s sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don’t compromise on quality either.

6 year guarantee on these from Richer Sounds.
Why is this tv so hard to buy hardly anyone sells it?

This model is not sold on Richer sounds
Good price but from experience with Hisense I would want a 5 year guarantee , if you can upgrade from 2 to 5 at minimal cost then def worth it.
what on earth is ULED?

Even on Hisense’s website it says nowhere is stocking it. Weird. I’d say it’s a discontinued model, but the website clearly says ‘current’ and yet it hasn’t got a 2020 replacement (U8B is 2019)?!

Stock low maybe due to the Virus? It was sold at most retailers but out of stock or not showing.

I’m not sure! I’ve been looking around for it since around January and even then it was sparse (of course it was all beginning/ongoing in Jan). Maybe they just don’t want our money

I'm not sure what is the best 65" TV for a decent price...maybe this one? What are you looking at as well?

For the money I think this is cracking. I just never purchased it as I’ve seen the 55” at £499 at JL so wanted the 65” further in that direction

I get discount at Samsung through work discount schemes, so I tend to compare to what they can offer. For example a few weeks ago Samsung had a 65” Q85 for £1,119...I had to hold myself back!

Same I've got the Samsung work discount although looks like they've not updated any new stock for a while...

Either this or the XF9005(Need to pay another £100 and 1 year less warranty) hotukdeals.com/dea…069

It differs, it was maybe 1-2 weeks ago they had the q85. So keep your eye out! It looks like they‘ve cleared most 2019 stock though and I’m not interested in paying premiums for 2020 models.

Also I keep my eye on Sony refurbs at centres direct I’ve seen some good deals pop up for them, can pay £100 or so for 5 year warranties too. Never done it myself so can’t vouch for it...stock disappears quick too(cheeky)

Costco used to sell them but sold out really fast. Picture quality all I can say absolutely stunning for price! Also speakers are loud on this so might not even need soundbar for most of you. The only negative is software Vidaa 3 for me personally very limited and slow, but for those who unhappy - tv box and good to go. Picture wise especially U8B model you not gonna get anything better for such price. Blacks are brilliant on this! As with any tv (I mean any) 5 year warranty would be bonus. Panel on this 450cdm and 120hz so enough to give stunning picture and bright image even in sunny room. Not oled but I think its decent competition even at 2800PPI.

Yes it's a great tv at this price.I don't know why Argos don't sell them they sell every other model of hisense! Why they put the rubbish vidaa system on these in UK when the Americans get the Android system I'm puzzled by, the Android system is better for sure!

Hisense rep answered that question - no demand in UK, UK people happy with cheap rubbish and hisense is happy as make more profit. Anyone up for grabs £400tv, as soon as you go for £800 for some reason people think its best to go for top brand like samsung etc (which in my opinion equally could be crap)... Also most UK people only interested in Netflix and Freeview, Prime so effectively no need to pay google for implementing android as vidaa does it = more profit. Also no top hisense models in UK this year either....
