Hisense is a large Chinese manufacturer of electrical goods, Hisense covers everything from fridges to washing machines, though its TV range is one of the biggest parts of its burgeoning business.

Though state-owned – like many Chinese companies – Hisense has plenty of international connections.

Back in 2015 it licensed the famous Sharp brand, bought part of a Mexican TV production line and started making televisions for the US and South American markets using the Japanese company’s name – and then went several steps further by buying Toshiba's TV business

This any good as a Dining room Tv? Won’t have anything connected (other than maybe a fire stick) so will rely on smart features, mainly Netflix.

or is it one of those Vestel panels everyone goes on about

Hisense make their own panels, and this is one of the few that has a VA panel in this size.

It's a solid TV. Narrow-ish viewing angles and isn't the best with HDR, but for the money, hard to fault overall.
2 yrs guarantee?

For £20 more,£279 presently at Richersounds with 6 year warranty included.
We have a 50" Hisense tv and whilst it's excellent it has one big gripe for me and that's the fact that I'm constantly having to clear the cache otherwise it won't connect to the wifi. Whilst this may not be a big problem for most it winds the hell out of me. It's fine over ethernet.

1 verified purchase review is negative. Amazon group all the reviews together for any variation options the listings have.

I’ve got the 43” hisense tv, nothing wrong with the WiFi BUT the amazon and Netflix subtitle lags when it’s on for too long lol
The spec says "pause and rewind live TV" does that mean it buffers the live TV broadcast so that you can rewind at any time?
