I've no idea about that TV but this is a fair bit cheaper with Nectar points and cashback.

I bought this a week ago, at this price. Watching it right now acctually. Very happy, hdr is nice, 4k picture is crisp. No motion blur that I can see (haven't watched a fast paced action movie yet though).

Considerable improvement on the lg I had before. Pleasantly surprised. If you are a tv critic, you might find some issues, but in my somewhat knowledgeable opinion, I recommend.

Does it upscale?

I missed out on the Tesco deal so this one looked pretty tempting. With the cashback and nectar points taken into account, it's almost the same price. Well, nearly...

And I think it's a better TV if the following review is anythign to go by.

Just getting a little anxious that the TCB cashback hasn't tracked.

Torn so badly between this and the Sharp. Only £30 more for 55! Which is the best buy?!

Looks a bit crappy in reviews. The Hisense kinda blows me away a bit, the menus being better and faster too.

Any one know would this be ok to play new Xbox and PS4 pro on it meaning better picture quality

Also worth noting - hotukdeals.com/dea…847

The Hisense I ordered has already been dispatched. Although I've pushed the date back a bit, pretty good service from AO.

Will make up for the overpriced washer dryer I bought from them years ago.

you can also get £20 discount code when you sign up directly from AO then get the 5% TCB.

Cheers guys. Gone for the Hisense regardless of smaller size. Considering potential room sizes too it seems the best way to go. Being a long term lurker on the site and this was my first comment so appreciate the help from you both, big time!

I bought it last week, same price in the pre-sale. I've spent a fair amount of time watching it and have tweaked a few of the settings (the back light was set at 100 which was a bit too bright). But I would say for the price it's a solid tv. 4k picture is very nice and the HDR which a lot of the cheaper 4Ks don't come with and it really makes a difference on 4K HDR content.

I've also noticed the 4K upscaling does work pretty well when watching standard Sky tv but there are a few channels that are just a mess for quality (but always were!)

The menus are quick and responsive and I had no issues with set up. The nicest touch I have found is that the tv remote has dedicated branded buttons for Netflix, Amazon and Youtube which is a tiny thing to mention but I find it such a nice feature that's it is noteworthy.

AO delivered on time and kept me informed right up to the time they delivered.

I'd say at this price unless you are a real TV quality stickler and have experienced £1000+ 4K TVs you will not be disappointing.

Also if you have a eligible Natwest Credit card reward account you can get 10% back in rewards through that.

How do you get the £20 discount code when signing up to AO?

Purchased 4x units for an event next weekend. Thanks OP!

It won't let you use the £20 on first time customers with the £40 discount code the tv can have applied against it.

I recall they send you the code when you register the first time via email.

Ok thanks, will get my wife sign up. The £40 discount is for TVs over £400 though isn't it, so doesn't apply to this one?

Did you read that from a cheap Christmas cracker.

Just purchase from amazon Sony 49we753...for 399
Will that sony have a better image on freeview?hd channels, full hd movies?

Bought this from them using the £20 first time code they sent me when signing up and came out at £349. Then the Tesco deal came up. I rang them up and told them I wanted to return the tv because I found a cheaper tv and they refunded me the difference. So got this tv for £299.

I can't see why it wouldn't work with your PS4 Pro. Some of the HDMI ports support different things E.g. one is ARC one is 100 MHz etc.

My unit has already arrived, but I'll be setting mine up hopefully over the weekned.
But, for all those who bought and set up, whats your overall opinion?

Well, finally setup my unit last night and so, am not overly impressed. Comparing it to my 7yr old Panasonic Plasma, picture quality is poorer, especially on SD channels via freeview. HD channels improve viewing quality greatly. DVD's via my Bluray player are poorer for some reason. Blurays I haven't tested. 4K YouTube is good, as with all HD content. Could've done with an extra HDMI Input. Most annoying feature is when watching a program via cast, should you go into a setting, it kills the cast and defaults to your default input. May well send it back and pay the extra for a better box.
