It's a joke when someone joins only to be negative about a deal that they couldn't be bothered to read the first line of.

It doesn't really matter either way if it has HDR support as it won't have much in the way of hardware to display it. I think it very unlikely you'll see anything in the life of this TV that only comes in HDR format.

Biggest difference will be the HiSense has a VA LCD panel and the LG has a IPS LCD panel. The HiSense will have better contrast - the LG will be brighter and have a wider viewing angle. In theory.

an inch is all that matters sometimes.

Are the screens on these glass or are they plastic?

The dull, plastic-looking screens ruin the look of a TV, in my opinion.

All LCDs are made of the same stuff as far as I'm aware, only OLEDs can be printed onto glass.

If you're asking whether it has a piece of glass in front of it then that's very rare at the moment.

I mean the piece that covers the screen. I don't know much (hardly anything) about TVs!

I've had a Panasonic EX700 Series TV & only now (since your comment) have I tapped the screen with my nails to see if it's glass or not.

It sounds like plastic from tapping it, but it has a glossy effect like glass.

If this Hisense TV has a glossy plastic screen like that, then I'm fine with it. What I don't like, are the dull, matte-looking screens.

Not all tv's. I tried a 32 inch but no luck

Do not buy this TV. I have made the mistake, mine lost its voice after 2 months. It took the company over 2 months to fix it. Rubbish customer service.

Not the same model at JL otherwise would've gone for a cheeky price match... Kinda want the 5 year warranty, but otherwise great deal OP, voted hot

This can display a 4k colour image using all pixels, the LG can't. The IPS screen in the LG also has poor contrast, black level, colour accuracy and peak brightness, they really are awful this year.

Some people on here don't mind a non 4k capable TV being marketed as 4k, but I do.

Maybe you lost your hearing and then couldn't hear the doorbell when they came to fix it

Picked up the N5700 tonight, has handing issues but its for the bedroom, still deciding what's coming for downstairs.
