Good spot. Code might get pulled due to discount already being applied but heat added.
Yeah this is a very good spot Chanchi, heat added.
A year ago the same sort of money would have got you a discounted 43".

And not some shyster vendor either.
Heat.
65 is/was for 429 @ Costco, 5 year warranty, correct?
Cheaper at COSTCO for the 65 inch (and probably the 55inch) AND with a 5 year warranty.
This is a VA panel rather than an IPS. I only had one VA panel previously and promptly returned it. But I ordered this one anyway because it cannot be as bad as the one I bought and this is for the bedroom which means pretty much a restricted audience and zero angle of deviation from centre. Hopefully, the improved picture quality of the VA will be worth the anticipatory worry - I hope it doesn't need to be sent back! Order placed Monday 17th Feb and confirmation that it is due for delivery by Monday 24th. Here's hoping.

Reference 65 inch version at Costco looks to be oos online, so would be an instore only deal but decent with the additional warranty if you have a Costco membership. Not aware that Costco sell the same 55 inch model and definitely haven't seen it for under £300.

Good price chanci but realistically is this TV actually any good? I want a 55" 4k TV for sky sports 4k but does this actually produce a decent picture?

I heard people previously say their hisense struggles with moving images which is completely unacceptable

Reviews look good enough to me, for sub £300 seems decent value

"Restricted audience and zero angle of deviation" - good job we're talking about something really important here and you know not something as mundane as a TV, oh wait sorry. Seriously though how are the blacks and whites? Are they erm black and white?
3 HDMI ports not 4
Bought 58" in May from Curry's for £449. Conked out beginning of December which turned out to be screen which couldn't be repaired. Took until beginning of February for Curry's and Hisense to agree couldn't be repaired. Comedy of errors. EPG didn't work either. Good picture while it lasted, even with daylight. Caveat emptor.
Code not working now
I bought the 55 inch for £349 on Boxing Day from Richer sounds with free 6 year warranty, I love the TV upto now.

What's the viewing angle like from upside down?

What's the viewing angle like from upside down?

I cannot answer about viewing upside down until the TV arrives. But I would not want to purchase for a large family viewing - would experience picture degradation. On my original TV even 2 people sitting either side of the central axis (ie a sofa) suffered degradation. And as for other comments about breakdown - all the better to have 5 year (or Richer 6 year, even if paying a bit more) warranty. I have never owned a Hisense (and didn't want to) but this just seemed too good - too good to be true).
nice
Hisense is not a good Chinese brand at all. Mine broke down after 2 years
I've had my 5500 for 2 years, still going strong, no ghosting on football, VA panel.
7100 is the entry level, get the 7500 if possible.
This is a very good deal for the price though it can't be beat. Built in satellite too . HOT
55" Hisense £298 bargain. I bought the 50" last summer, perfect TVs, but these need a Soundbar, as I found out,but all large TVs require a Soundbar. 🔥
Bought the 43 inch version for my son's bedroom, cheap and cheerful TVs that I'm happy to sit in front and play Xbox with him even though I've got an LG OLED downstairs for comparison

Not really 4k though is it? What are you wanting to £300? Sky sports 4k, you might as well save the money to get an OLED. Complete waste of money.
Purchased the 65" from Costco last week soon went back after seeing the DSE and uniformity of the screen and how poor it was made.

+1

For £80 more you an get the 7500 series from richersounds which has a 6 year warranty, dolby vision and wide colour gamut. Truly awesome picture but the VIDAA software is full of bugs (have to pull the plug on my H55B7500UK at least weekly as it crashes and the audio goes echoey). I know I'll be getting my moneys worth from the 6 year warranty and wouldn't dream of buying a hisense with only 2 year warranty.

What isn't 4k, this TV or sky sports?
I picked up the 65 from richer sounds for 489 with 6 year warranty.

Steal at this price if you don't mind not having the 6 year warranty.

Personally I'd rather take the hit on the extra £65 for that warranty. Each to their own though

Hot from me.
I wouldn't buy another Hisense tv, i bought one from John Lewis 2 years ago. Within 2 weeks it developed an audio problem where it randomly increased to 50 for no reason and was told they are working on it and are awaiting a software update. Also a few weeks ago another fault with the power board, randomly just switching itself off. I had to go through Hisense and a repair company to fix. Really not worth the hassle.

You'll need it, richer sounds are banking on you forgetting about the 6yr warranty.
Maybe cheap, but agree with chocci.. id 100% Go for the 7500 series for the extra money.
I ordered the 50 inch one on Monday and had a 10% eBay code that worked. Managed to get it for £242. Great deal 😁
Anyone managed so sync this TV to the Virgin remote? Having trouble
