Mate, just enjoy your tv. The search is over. I have the same TV as you. This marketing/consumerism can really get to your head.

You need atleast a 65 inch for a curved TV! Heat for price though

Umm, you what now?

Nope.

Wow, big heat and no comments, not very often that you see that.
Other than the curved, what's the difference between this model and the H55N5700??
Absolute steal imo
Just bear in mind this is a 2016 model - still great for the price!
Hot as very good TV for the price, (I was lucky enough to pick this up last year from AO when it was £459) takes a while to get settings just right and then picture quality is brilliant, easily comparable to far more expensive sets. Curve is slight so can be viewed from any angle. Highly recommended.

Hmmm, I ordered the Sony KD49XE8004 yesterday for £429, it's due to be delivered tomorrow. How does this Hisense compare to the Sony? I would rather a 55" but picture quality is more important.

I know which I'd choose (begins with S)

I agree buddy....it's certainly doing my head in. On the plus, after comparing both models (available on argos website) side-by-side, the only 2 major differences I could find were that the H55M6600 is curved, has 1 SCART socket, 3 USB ports and 4 HDMI sockets and consumes more wattage power, whereas the H55N5700 is flat, has 2 USB ports and 3 HDMI sockets. Has USB recording and video playback functionality and consumes less power.

If the above is the only difference, then I'm very happy with my tv as it's only cost me £423.

There isn't a great deal of information or reviews available on the hisense range so it's a little hard to tell. Roughly speaking this is last year's equivalent of the next model up, the N6800. One concrete thing it does provide is a wide colour gamut which will mean HDR content looks a little better.

I think so imo, the pros of a curved tv are way way better the bigger the screen

Nah this is true of any TV. The real issue is how far you'll be sitting from the TV. No need for a 70 inch TV if you're sat 2 feet away from the screen.

It's certainly not going to be an issue for a lot of people; with the size of modern houses.

Thanks for clarifying that. It's a pity John Lewis don't sell the N6800, otherwise I could have sent my TV back for an exchange. Anyhow, I'm happy with the H55N5700.
Seriously good tv with great picture. Got it a few months ago for around £550, needed a curved for the location in my living room. Practically identical to similar Samsung counterparts, just no fancy Samsung logo. Even 10 bit too. HEAT!
Not 10 bit.
Interesting calabration settings video here for anyone that grabs one..

That's the same brightness as most TVs this price, and brighter than many cheaper models.

That's probably true admittedly but surely puts it in the budget catagory. Couldn't find this tv on what hifi but a similar one here doesn't review well despite having a much brighter panel.

The reliability rating also appears very poor.

I feel you'd want to get at least a long included warranty. Richer Sounds or John Lewis? Your expectations need to be realistic too. Often they are flawed models. It just seems to be a manufacturer that uses a wide range of panels of varying quality. Not much consistency with the brand. Often nicely styled with good quality cases. Make good furniture.
This or a SAMSUNG UE55MU6670 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR Curved LED TV?
Heat added for a great TV price. Not sure how good the brand is.
Hisense are absolute top notch TVs, far better picture quality than Sony and LG, seen them side by side. Hot deal!

Yea, get down to Currys and physically look at them, it doesn't take an expert. You can see for yourself
Just purchased one, only for the bedroom so hopefully should be decent for late night watching Quest
