I’ll never buy anything from them again

Warranty should be with retailer
resolver.co.uk/con…nts

If you have been given a free guarantee with your product then this forms part of your contract. The shop may say you have to claim a refund from the manufacturer, or claim under the manufacturer's guarantee. This isn't true. Your rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) are against the retailer, not the manufacturer. Guarantees and warranties simply give additional rights, which you can choose to use. However sometimes the terms of the guarantee often give you more than you are entitled to in law. Most manufacturers give at least one year’s guarantee from freedom of manufacturing defects. If you return the goods to the retailer within the timeframe of the guarantee most retailers will replace the item with little argument, as they will be able to obtain a refund from the manufacturer direct.

Very good, I've then 40" and 43" versions and I think they look stunning with very good sound out of the box, no need for a sound bar. All the major on demand apps are supported.
Does it have a 10bit panel?

Obviously not, £800 is minimum for 10bit panels.

Don't buy a TV for its smart functions , best to use an external device.

I believe it's an 8+ something
And the price is now £479. Same as John Lewis
Makes it a lot less of a deal

The base price is £479 but when you apply the code that the OP has listed the price reduces to £444
It's telling me that the code has now expired.
Is there any truth in the rumours about malware on Hisense TVs
No 55" TV at this price actually has HDR. It's like when 720p TV's say they can do 1080p. It's downscaled. Just a regular brightness (8 bits + FRC) screen, will take an HDR signal and use FRC to try and match the colours. Doubt you'd notice much difference. At 250 cd/m² brightness it's no where near bright enough to do it properly, even if it did have a 10bit screen. In comparison my 6 year old 47" LG set is 350 cd/m².

£479'@ John Lewis with 5 years warranty.

Just had a 3 yr old 40'' Samsung screen replaced under ''John Lewis 5yr Warranty'' so all good.
I have this tv and it is excellent. Feel free to fire questions at me 😊

Bought this from JL a week ago for £499. Have just sent them an ask about refunding the difference - fingers crossed.

Seems like a good TV so far.

You buy a new TV every time the software stops being updated? That sounds expensive... Why not just buy a Chromecast?

This or Toshiba 55U6763DB 55 Inch 4K Ultra in costco £431?
Hi I bought the same model .

john Lewis will price match this item . With 5 years warranty so it definately worth doing.
they have an online form you fill out. You pay full price then John Lewis refund you the difference.

one word of warning. The tv I received had dead pixels. So I got John Lewis to send me a new one.that one had dead pixels. So I had a second tv . That one also had dead pixels . So I got John Lewis to send me a third tv.. all free of charge. The third tv had one dead pixel ... so I just kept it.

in summary it’s likely you will get some dead pixels with this tv. Otherwise it’s a great tv and John Lewis have amazing customer service

Ive not long had mine but found the internet browser laggy and in general when you press epg it lags then and same when your scrolling. This may be normal on alot of TVs but coming from my samsung TV I found it annoying but I can live with it.
All that aside the picture is great, audio is great too and for the price I paid I'm happy with it.

I can live with that. But what about the number of apps available compared to the Samsung? Also do Hinsense regularly update their Smart Apps or not?
