I've been looking to get a decent Smart TV and as we get employee discount at John Lewis (12%) I was looking on their site. This was £569 yesterday and now down to £499 which I think is a pretty decent price for a TV with these specs. With our discount that takes us to £439.12.

How to get it for £439.12? Would be an absolute bargain.

Work for John Lewis. Not really sure why it's in the description to be honest.

Cannot seem to find a decent review anywhere - also 3 hdmi is a problem for me
I bought the 43" version. Impressive bit of kit for the money (£280 Amazon prime deal).
The main downside is HDR. No mention of it in the user manual. I'm still waiting for hisense to give me a full answer on this.

Seems as though HDR is only available via one of the HDMI 2.0a ports if a compatible device is connected.

It doesn't look like HDR works if you log into Netflix on the TV's built in app, but will work if you log into Netflix on your PS4 and connect it via HDMI 2.0a. Odd and frustrating that this isn't made clear on the web or in their manuals.

Had this model, 4k was very good, but suffered from poor SD also didn't handle dark scenes in HD very well at all, in fact dark scenes looked like poor quality SD at times also viewing angles very narrow. Tried numerous picture settings to no avail, so returned under Argos 30 day satisfaction guarantee.
These look the same as the Toshiba’s, are they made in the same place?

No the Toshiba TV’s are Vestel, while Hisense (for the most part) are independently made

+1. Dark scenes are reproduced very poorly on more or less all Hisense sets.
Same price at richersounds with 6 years warranty

Oh, fair enough.
Even though this seems like a good price, I won't be buying Hisense again.
I have last year's model and LOVE IT. 4K movies, HD movies, and gaming all look great. No lag that I can tell, very bright crisp colours, simple quick menus, and overall very impressed. So much so that when it's time to get my next TV, Hisense will be at the top of my list.

Only complaint would be viewing angles, but as long as you stand mostly in front of the TV its absolutely fabulous.

Yes that's right... the H50M3300 model. Zero problems and still can't get over how great the picture quality and performance is.

I have the 49" M3000 and am pleased as well. Don't think that anything that's currently on the market would be a massive upgrade unless you spend north of £1k on it
anyone know whats the different between this and h55n5700uk which amazon had it for 449 few days ago?
Are the apps such as Netflix streamable in 4K?

my hisense fridge freezer n washing machine still going strong after 4+ years n they cost me almost half the price compare to same spec samsung or whichever top brand. even sony samsung and everything else are made in China anyway, lol
my current Hisense is 1.5 years old and is working perfectly. If it lasts another 2-3 years I'll be happy to get another set (and still be below the cost of a single Samsung/LG with similar specs).
