I'm looking for a 4K TV and missed out on yesterday's ebay discount (by 10 minutes!)
I found this on Amazon and it seems like a good deal to me, so just ordered. Named delivery day (Friday 5th for me).

I know little about this, but from the Amazon link it says:-

"Product Description

8 bit panel and uses Frame Rate Control to approximate the colours it can't display because it's an 8 bit panel. So it doesn't do HDR properly but you don't find many TV's that do at this price if at all.
Bought the 43 inch for 287 quid yesterday on ebay.. Absolutely brilliant in the bedroom replacing a 4 year old 32 inch Sammy, especially the blue planet in 4k.on iPlayer!
Good price!

good price i love this
43 Inch @ £279.00 also a great deal
Is this the best value 55 inch 4k tv sounds like to me unless you know different.
Richer have the 5700 for 499 and looks like the 5500 (399 amazon) for 449.
Anyone know what the difference betwween the two is?

The N5700 has an IPS panel with less input lag.

I'm after a deal on a good 4k tv, mainly for gaming on XB1 X and PS4 Pro. Anyone know if this tv is any good?

Two answers to that question asked on Amazon about this TV say:-

"Answer:
I have an Xbox one x, it works great. You just have change the setting in the tv menu, picture quality top draw.

Absolutely. Bought mine especially for the Xbox one x. Was not disappointed. The picture quality is exceptional for the price. The TV set has a very high refresh rate, and HDR10. Perfect for 4k gaming. Wolfenstein 2 looks utterly gorgeous on this set. If you have the X, there is a free 4k HDR demo called insects on the Microsoft Store that really shows the TVs capability. see less

Hisense is owned by the Chinese government who have a terrible human rights record.
Been looking for a 55" for my PS4 Pro and torn between this and the Samsung UE55MU7000.

I think I am beginning to understand all this HDR faff/techi speak and 8, 8+ and 10 bit pannels.

The Hisense certainly seems like a good deal. Heat added. I would get it from Richer Sounds though for £499 at the moment with a 6 year guarantee. Who knows they might even come down a little more if I mention this Amazon deal.

I have the Samsung on a 28 day price match with JL for £699.

At the moment I am running the Pro on a 3 year old 42" Sony full HD. My main TV is a Sony full HD 55" and I guess the danger is if I get the more expensive Samsung (better spec ?) the other half would want this new one to replace the main TV lol.

Whatever these amazing deals make a joke of the £1000 I paid for a 32" CRT 20 years ago!

The UE55MU7000 has a much lower input lag than the Hisense so is better for gaming, it also has a higher peak brightness for HDR, a true 10 bit panel and HDR10+ support. All depends if you think those differences justify a £200 Premium? (I ordered the Samsung from PRC at £689)
