*potentially £490 after cashback?
Been looking at these Hisense sets for a while.
Went to Costco today and saw a few well priced sets (Lg/panasonic) saw this which is a little over what i want to spend but according to the Hisense website this model is included in the cashback deal for £50 back so takes it under £500, not sure if its worth the extra over the 50" set but looked a nice size in store next to a 50" set.
Does not seem to be online.
Also comes with 5 year warranty, I believe to be a good service?

£100 odd cheaper than anyone else, even without the £50 extra cashback, which is a cert with this model, as its listed to get it!

Love the uLED models from Hisense and these later 2019 panels with all the other extras, make these great value for money

Not that important to some, but might be of interest.. this model had the later Bluetooth 5 2T2R eSoc csr chipset in it, so nice rock solid BT for all uses.. as in, its Class 1 power!
Amazon via Hughes direct have price matched and also qualify for the cashback as best I can tell (Hughes and Amazon are in the T&Cs). I can't see Costco being mentioned in the T&Cs for cashback.

What do you think bitcoin5, this or the 7500 from your thread? Looks like this has local dimming, but only 16 zones, so it'll likely suck.

Not really clear what their ULED tech is.

thanks for the input, is this similar/same spec as the 50"? Just need to decide if the extra 5" are worth the extra £90 (after cashback)?

Yes, the only differences are the extra 4.7 inches of viewing space on the panel and the fact that the 50" is about 2KG lighter than the 55", I have physically seen this model on its stand and the viewing on it, using real UHD media was Fab after a itty bitty ditty mess about with one in store

If you can stump it, grab this 55" as viewing on it, will enhance the media area its put in, more than the 50" unless of course you have no extra room to put it in!!

Thanks again, many moons ago I worked for Tosh, I had people coming in everyday saying they were waiting and waiting and never bought, I need to stop being that person waiting! Might go get it tomorrow.
Was thinking of going to Richer Sounds asking for a price match but after a quick google maybe too hard work and not worth it due to location for me.

As mentioned in the original post this set was next to a 50" (other brand) and it looked noticeably bigger!

It is down to the design element of the frame for these models (same as the new B7500's) that make it stand out for me, the bezels are way smaller than most and the way it merges into the color surround is cool as well!

Tosh hey.. hope that was in the hey days not the weigh days of its success!

Yes, SmartTV's wait for no man/woman so load up a USB 3.1 stick with some real UHD media clips etc and go test one in store for a while, guessing you will love it, also use the same USB stick to try a couple of the "other" brands, that are more £, think you find the picture far superior on it!

These newer 2019 TV's just have a much later chipset for the bluetooth, wifi and screen sharing on them, thus much faster connection, no lag on lip sync with BT headphones and the data path, what it stuffs down to or up from on the devices connected to it, are much more stable, than Bluetooth 4.2 ever was

You will have to delve deep into the service manuals, not the user manual for whatever model you fancy, to find it, BT5 in most TV's is like finding a Unicorn!

Or, you might be even luckier, to actually find a TV "sales person" that knows or can be bothered to find out for you.. RicherSounds far exceed any other seller of smartTV's and the answers to questions in store, than any other company I have ever spoken to!
Hughes do 5.25% TCB if it helps

Not really clear what their ULED tech is.

It's a marketing term that they use for their mid-high range models. It can mean anything from better processing, to wider colour gamut, to faster or brighter panel. Basically it means nothing as they put the name on any combination of those.

ULEDXD is their upcoming replacement for ULED, which is much more exciting, and may become a competitor to OLED. It uses dual layer LCD tech (1080P>4K monochrome LCD that controls the backlight levels behind the colour LCD, meaning 2-8 million dimming pixels or "zones"). Potential for black levels that rival OLED, but can go much brighter in the highlights for superior HDR.

How do you price match on amazon? Coming up over £630 for me.
Had this TV and took it back as wouldn't work with sky q correctly. Was 549 everywhere then(about 3 weeks ago) and was included in the Ebay 20% off. If wanting this I'd wait for the next ebay sale
Currently looking for a new 4k smart TV. I have been looking at the lower end Samsung qled and lg nano cell TVs. Does anyone know how this compares to them? Also what are Hisense like for apps. Does it have or is it ever likely to get Now TV on it?
Does this have gigabit ethernet?

Im sure I read in the other thread that the 7500 is 50Hz but this one is listed as 100Hz? Is that correct @bitcoin5, you seem to know your onions (as well as tvs)!

On what way "wouldn't work" ???

SkyQ is tat at the best of times and is just an upscaled to 2k push, not true Uhd, like nhkworld is!!

F1 4k looks the bees knees on this panel or did you just have a naff sky box?

The board on the panel pushes this to 102hz, it's a very similar set-up to some led monitors that are 1080p bit can display higher Res at higher Hz...

The Pqi side of the software on the uLED sets is superb, it makes the pixels emit faster than the panel is as standard, the only thing better is qLED... bit they are twice the price of uLED!

Are you looking for a main media / family room TV in this?

The b7500 is 50, but it's still 60hz natural processing, they all are

Yes, main room. I have been itching to pull the trigger on a new set for a while and move our Samsung ue46d6750 into playroom. The deals on Hisense TVs are great at the moment and are really testing my resolve!

What a shame. Did they have the 55" on show or was it just boxed?
it was on show, picture quality looked great, i know they feed through hd/4k pics but the Toshiba on the other side looked horrendous!
