Not posting this comment on the Dolby atom tvs. It's funny how people come up with their own story. If you wanna call out post a comparison between the 2 and call out the difference 😝

It doesn't matter that they're both Hisense. As with any TV maker Hisense make a range of models with different features and varying picture quality. Given that it is wrong and misleading to say that you've seen a completely different model available elsewhere for a lower price; it isn't relevant. It also feeds into a wider problem whereby some people (lacking in knowledge of TV tech) seem to think all of the TVs are basically the same when they're not.

Not everyone is looking for the cheapest model - people are just looking to pay as little as possible for the thing they want.

When you post about another offer you've seen be sure to mention the model name and size, then people can compare the features, specs and reviews for themselves. The obligation is on you to provide this information seeing as you're the one drawing attention to this different offer (for a different tv).

For this model? It's no good comparing to lower end models, as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.

Anyway this is HOT

That's for the 7300, a few models below this quality wise.

For a different model that isn't as good. Bad advice.

I understand where he’s coming from that 65” is actually not that much of an old model. I was confused last night which one to buy as this 55” is ELED and 65” one is DLED. This one was for £499 on John Lewis I thought I could ask for the price match but got the message saying they don’t accept Costco as it’s online only store. So it got rejected straight away. Then I took another hour searching about ELED and DLED lol and if I should go for 65” for another £20 but then decided to go for 55” it’s slimmer and not too big as I have a small room so 65” would have been massive for that.
This one is new tech ULED I was surprised even for that they using ELED technology.
Anyways both deals are hot and am glad I waited even at the Black Friday sales to get this cheaper I reckon even if it goes down to like £300 still it’s a good price considering there’s 5 years warranty included. I had another option of buying a curved 55” Samsung which was for £449 at very but still end up deciding to go for this one.
Not sure if anyone can give me a good comparison between this model and Samsung

If the response was similar to what you said then that would be cool, but it wasn't.
They also have the 50" in store for £360 Inc if the 55" is too big.
Just ordered, thanks friend. I just hope the U8B doesn't come back down to the same price in the January sales. I've waited long enough and couldn't wait any longer without a TV. Problem with these mid range hisense TVs is they are rare and go out of stock quickly when on offer.
...would be doubly gutted if the U9F is launched in January at a comparable price mind

Re the Hisense it's really stupid that a TV that came out in July is already hard to find.
My first post of a deal and I ordered one myself, I'd been looking at the 7500, and visited Costco Oldham last week to look what they had in store, they only had the 7300 in 65" So when this popped online yesterday I jumped . The reviews are pretty favourable so hopefully it's a decent Telly.

Seems the U8B is running low on stock full stop. God knows why a TV only released in July is in short supply now, but people on AVforums seem to have been told JL wont be restocking it.

Shame as its the one ive been looking at for a while too.

I'm in the same position. Was ready to order it twice from John Lewis and just missed it both times before it went out of stock. It's so ridiculous that a TV that came out in the summer is now running low everywhere.

They won't. I also contacted them myself to confirm.
Are these uled TVs hisense top end ?

Are these uled TVs hisense top end ?

The uled range is the top end of their led range, but the u7b's are the lowest end of the uled range. Below this there are the b7500, the b7300 and b7100. Also, hisense do oleds as well which are a lot more expensive. Hope this helps.

Broadly speaking, this is a mid range tv. Probably no good for serious gamers, but for run of the mill TV viewing a good solid purchase. At 399 I would say its difficult to beat as long as you are brand neutral. +1
Ordered, thanks O.P. Was looking at the 50” but at this price why not?(y)

Friend recently spent this much on a 55” RU7100. Wish he’d asked me first so I could have pointed him at something like this. Heat!!!

So I'm supposed to post the differences, but you don't have to? Your comment was unclear, you can't expect people to know what TV you are talking about. And when other users have done the legwork that you hadn't, they found out that the two TVs aren't even the same model. Rather than posting the other deal you were talking about and putting some rationale behind why you 'proposed' the larger screen, you come back with even more stupidness.

What about the H55U7BUK at Costco?

I might get it myself. I had finally settled on the next model up - the H55U8BUK - but i managed to *just* miss it twice and then both RS and JL (who were selling it for £600/£500 respectively) said they wouldn't be stocking it again. Very frustrating for a TV that only came out in July of this year.

So now i'm looking at other options.

Why John Lewis don't price match? When Costco have shops on high street also?
Can anyone eloborate why this is better than the h55b7500 to help me decide? I can get the 55b7500 for 364.00

From detailed specs I can see the 7500 is direct led rather than edge lit which I understand puts the 7500 ahead of the u7b. However the u7b has an extra hdmi, better quality speakers, ultra dimming motion, higher PCI clarity. Same brightness, contrast.

Like everyone else I am very confused about what TV to purchase, look at the deals, look at the pros and cons, look at the prices and just get more confused. So some advice and input from you guys would be much appreciated. I am seriously considering this TV or the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B, ULED vs OLED I know but is the difference in price warranted. Here is what I am needing help with.

Existing TV is Panasonic Plasma G20 42" still fully functional looks a bit dated
Like the look of the Hisense-H55U7BUK
Is there a big difference between Hisense-H55U7BUK and Hisense-H55U8BUK models (£200 difference)
Scared that I might hate picture compared to G20 Plasma so would the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B be a better option (£600+ difference)
My viewing habits are nothing fancy, never sit in a dark room and not looking for cinema experience, sometimes I find myself watching SD simply because i chose that channel by mistake and not the HD channel. Recently cancelled Sky have Roku Streaming Stick+ HD/4K/HDR with Now TV and Amazon Prime.
Sitting 15 - 20 feet away from the TV (should I consider 65" think it might be OTT)
TV faces a window not full on but occasionally need to close blinds

Any feedback would be much appreciated

Avforum experts say the UB8 is a significantly better TV than the UB7. Much better HDR performance and twice the refresh rate.
So here is an update guys, for me anyway, went in to store Monday and had a look at this TV only the 50" on display, the picture was really good and I liked the aesthetics a bit different from the norm. Also checked out the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B and the picture on this was great too, when watching both individually I personally liked both pictures, different technology I know, but for my everyday viewing habits no complaints. Where I did notice the difference was with the brightness watching both together the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B blew the Hisense out the water. But in my living room there will be only one TV, so for me the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B didn't warrant the difference in price.
Came home with the intentions of ordering the Hisense-H55U7BUK online then read the comment from SlowBandit above, so had a look at the U8B model. So bottom line ordered the Hisense H65U8BUK , thanks for that SlowBandit - my reasoning, not based on anything technical, the picture will be as good or maybe better than the Hisense-H55U7BUK, still saved money compared to the Panasonic TX-55GZ950B and got a bigger TV. If it all goes pear shaped and I regret my decision then I have the Costco 90 day return policy.
