Any chance you can show me a 65" 4k smart OLED for under £800?
Not OLED though. Reviews say it's non smart, and claim it's not actually 4K - just 4K like?!

You get what you pay for. Its unfair to give it cold because its not OLED.. At this price you get a lot of tv for money,if it is non smart then it is reasonable to not give heat... But title says smart,it should be smart.. 4k tvs nowadays are barely non smart..especially when it states it is smart
Not the best price.. But for 0% apr it makes a good deal.. Whats the warranty like though? Most likely 1 year? Thumbs up for amazon customer service tho

What reviews? The hisense website clearly states that it's both SMART and 4K......so the only thing you got right is that it's not oled, which to be frank, is laughable at this pricepoint!

Find a tv at the moment that is TRUE 4k. None are. They are 4k as agreed by manufacturers. True 4k is cinema quality.

Oh oh. Idiot alert
OLED is overrated, I sent my 65" back as was a problem with the optical port but the picture quality compared to my plasma was just barely better, sport was great on it but any SD CHANELS were not good. Just not worth the money

So what did you get, and stick with, if you sent back your oled?
It was a travesty the day they stopped making plasma in favour of LED/LCD/OLED - proven technology that they still can't beat.

I put my PLASMA back 55" Plasma back up, although I do miss the size, and the extra inches do make a difference, the picture quality is hardly any difference

Ive got a 50" LG plasma..which is great.
However I would like to upgrade to a decent 65" screen, at an affordable price.
I ve even looked at buying a projector.
I ll find something...eventually

thats the problem if you own a decent plasma.

plasmas were so good in terms of picture quality its very hard to improve upon them.

ive got a panny plasma the gt50 and it wont be replaced until it dies. if i want a bigger screen for movies ill buy a projector to compliment it.

however it makes no sense spending £4000 on a 4k oled atm as that is the only true upgrade from a decent plasma.

plasma £ for £ is still the king.

although if you dont own a plasma go out and get yourself a 1080p oled. its the best tv you can buy right now. as for 4k you need to ask yourself how much content are you going to be watching if you dont stream and sub to UHD netflix, etc then no point in 4k atm. 4k sky is also extremely expensive for the 1 or 2 channels they have, not worth it unless you watch those 1 or 2 channels religiously.

so 4k only suits a handful of people at the moment. its not a huge deal right now. in 5 years it probably will be
Yes, it's frustrating that people fell for the list of "features" on LED/LCD TV's, but didn't realise that the vast majority of those features were to make up for deficiencies of the technology (such as ghosting, black contrast, motion, lag, light leak/blead and light consistency) .........deficiencies that plasma just didn't suffer from. However, when comparing TV's online, Joe Bloggs saw two lists of features and just went for the longest!

Plasma is dead.

Time to stop whining about it.
It's best to wait and get from richer sounds. Whilst it's an amazing bargain you can't guarantee how long it will last so richer sounds 6yrs guarantee l have your back on that.

Try the Epson projectors. The eh-tw6600 is amazing and even has image shift meaning you can put it nearly anywhere in the room unlike my eh-tw6100. The screen can go up to 300 inch. Does 3d 1080p and has great contrast and brightness. Epson 3d glasses are expensive but you can use Samsung 3d active glasses which I bought for £4 each from cex. Great reviews on them.

2nd hand Pioneer / Panasonic plasma screens will blow this out of the water so although they are no longer produced they are a better buy if you value picture quality over hype.
How do you do the 0 apr from Amazon ? Is it on all tvs over a certain price wouldn't mind doing it on a different tv

Thing is plasma generate heat (good for winter) and consult a lot more power. TV companies are going more economical friendly

I have to say though.. if it wasn't for plasma then lcd wouldn't have felt so threatened to push themselves this much. I remember how rubbish lcd was before plasma. Oh the ghosting. Lol

Rather have a great picture with a little bit of heat & energy useage than some of the dross TV sets I've seen the last few years.
What a great price. Thanks for posting

And vinyl is better than CDs... And betamax was better than VHS... And FLAC is better than MP3...

That said, while I agree that the contrast / blacks would be superior with plasma, in no way would the plasma 'Blow this out of the water'. They might be better under some circumstances (and inferior in others) but blow it out of the water? Nah...

I say this as someone who has owned several plasmas over the years, Hisense FALD sets have the most plasma like blacks of any set I've seen without getting into kit that costs several times as much.

Blow it out of the water is just a term of betterness.
Where does it claim its oled? Just says LED.
Am a little concerned about the 60htz refresh rate, wish they did better descriptions on amazon, picture 2 shows it has dvb s2 and t2 tuners used for freesat and freeview little more research may just buy it.

Richer sounds has it cheaper than other places. I should've got it from cex for about £700. I'm kicking myself now
just bought the H65M7000 on BT shop for 1000, apparently it has a few more features, so worth the extra if you find the above lacking.

It's £1090
I've had this for a month now, from AO. I got mine for a total of £752. More than happy and beats my Panny 55" all hands up. Quality build and good features. I particularly like the menu/settings layout and Direct Youtube button. There are plenty of 4k "demo" videos on YT that look really good. Upscale to near 4k too, tho some have queried HDR input. Of course it's "Smart", ridiculous to say it isn't. Maybe the 65" Smart logo that appears on start up would convince those who doubt it. You can maybe obtain a better quality unit and picture, as long as you don't mind actually paying £4k. Ps : the "M5500" is apparently the 2016 version of the k5510.

Ps 2: Hdr compatible by October 2016 and freeview play compatable by December 2016, so say Argos. Same price too.
