ULED? Same as Samsung's QLED - marketing BS. All TV's are either LCD or OLED.
8 bit panel...with a 60mhz refresh rate...on SD it'll look like block paving...

Size always wins, a quality led can hold its own against an oled especially in a normal living room setup with lots of ambient light coming in, you will usually regret not going bigger with tvs atleast that's been my experience over the years.

How much different would buying lg oled be over this? I know more money and be only 55 rather than this 65 but will it be considerably better than this set

Is this the same as the Hisense mentioned recently from John Lewis, with 5 year warranty but for £899?
How is peak brightness considered N/A? It's vital to a decent HDR experience.

The CP70 can be used on actual proper 4K TVs too...
Not good deal as JL or RS will not price match this... Hughes deal for £829 is oos unfortunately

I’ve got one of these. Great picture. I use a sound bar with it.
I have added it to trolley and am getting it for £779 .
Is there a glitch as its giving discount of £70 ?
"BARGAIN" if only JL or RS would match it
Is it a rule of thumb that 1080p content on a 4K screen doesnt look that great?
Trouble is the wide feet position
Some of the panels have a central banding problem and some remote have a 10 sec delay problem...see AV Forums for the issues...I've got up to a grand to spend on a new TV and struggling to get anything excited about...

I managed to get John Lewis to price match the coop/ebay deal that was on here at Christmas for the 50" Samsung 4k TV deal that was £324 with the ebay promo code, I didn't go online I just went straight to my local John Lewis store, went to the TV department and spoke to the manager.
65 INCH?! lol. Do people realise how big that is and how much space (the size of your room) you'd need to position this optimally away from where you sit. Unless of course all of the people here have mansion-sized living rooms/bedrooms. You'd need to be sitting at least 4 metres away from this screen or it doesn't make sense.

Different story - ebay code was clearly advertised at that time, CP70 is not
Got it for £779 plus £3.99 in the coop site

Maybe so, but alot of people are saying that they can't get John Lewis to price match with the coop on ebay when they put there request in online with John Lewis, I'm just saying people might be better going in store like I did and ask them directly, the worst they can say is no.

How so?
Getting one without central banding problems is the other great lottery...there's a reason why they're so cheap...
had this tv for a few months now and so far its been great with very good pic in sd hd and uhd beter than my last lg plasma by far.
Extra little bonus if you're a member, currently 5% back for you in Co-op Food spend and 1% to a local charity.

I've found 1080p content looks fantastic on my 4k screen. It's not a hi sense so don't know of that makes a difference
I bought this tv about a month ago from John Lewis with the Hughes price match. Deliberated for some time over which tv to go for. So far have mainly watched 4k Hdr/ 1080p content and I've been quite impressed with picture the tv is able to produce. Normal HD TV looks really good too - I don't really watch SD content so can't really comment on that.

Whilst the spec sheet might not match some of the more expensive offerings, in bang for buck and real world viewing terms this is a great tv in my opinion. I should say I moved to this tv from a 47" 1080p LG LCD TV and it's been worth it so far - no issue with banding so far either!

I really wanted 65" and couldn't justify to myself £2.5k (prices at the time) for the OLED sets of which I only got the chance to see in a store setting, so hard for me to compare the difference between this and oled as i never saw them side by side although I'm sure the OLED sets are amazing for those lucky enough to have them!

.... the sound ain't great but fortunately I have surround sound so not an issue for me per se but if you are looking to get this I'd suggest separate sound set up.

Have you used it for gaming yet?
No mate but lots of comments from people who have on AV Forums. There's also a post on there which outlines optimal / expert settings which worked well for me.

I have both an LG OLED 55" and a Hisense LCD 65". The Hisense is a great value TV but the OLED LG is twice the TV. If I were choosing between the 2 there is no situtation in which I would not choose the OLED.

Nice. What are the major differences with you having both? I still want an OLED but think I'll wait a couple of years in the hope prices drop a bit!

I have older hisense 65" 4k.
1080p looks absolutely great on it, but obviously you need decent source.

Any 1080p film with DD sound need to be at least 8GB for h264 codec, or at least 5GB for h265
