I debaiting weather or not to pull the trigger.. yeah cant justify £100 an inch.. (I'll wait for the puns... Lol)
Which Costco? Was there last night but only had 55”
Genuine question....
Is there a comparison site for TVs?
One in which I could enter the model or serial number of my current one, and this one for example, to show me which is superior in different things?
had called Chingford, Thurrock and Hayes in stock
Does that include VAT?
Make sure hdmi input is set to enhanced mode on the tv, hdr mode only kicks in when a hdr source is fed to the tv.
I think that one only works if spending over £999
Thanks for that - seems to be only the Scottish stores that have no stock!
I have this exact TV hanging in my living room, great TV for the money and I used this bracket which holds the weight of it no bother
Invision® Ultra Strong TV Wall Bracket Mount - For 37 - 70 Inch LED LCD Plasma & Curved Screens – Double Arm Tilt Swivel Feature – Includes 1080p HDMI Cable & Spirit Level *Please Confirm Your TV VESA Mounting Holes Before Purchase* (HDTV-DXL) amazon.co.uk/dp/…E3W
Are you using correct HDMI lead for HDR. Is the HDMI set up correctly. Somehow you will be doing something wrong I suspect not the TV
Any chance you could check the App Store as per my query above please mate?
Just had a look and can't find the two apps that you asked about. That is a downside to this TV, the apps available are fairly limited and not even close to what's available on the Google play store
Thanks for doing that - yes, that is my only concern!
What do you recommend for tht price and size?
Google
Valuable that.

Wow, looks like someone has read a review or two and decided to leave a comment on this thread based on what they have read....
But for your information, I have read reviews also, even before I bought this TV last year. I find the picture quality to be pretty awesome, especially in 4K HDR. Anything in HD and above is top notch. SD sucks, but tend not to watch in SD anyway.
The problem with reviewers is they are comparing the HDR performance of this set to HDR performance across the board, and this will never be as good as an OLED for HDR performance, but this is a third of the price !
I want an OLED just like everyone else, but no way am I paying the price they cost just now when they have issues such as screen burn, image retention etc which isn't covered under warranty.
This TV has a similar peak brightness to OLED, and as I personally have nothing to compare the HDR performance within my household, or my friends households, to me... It's pretty awesome !
I paid a similar price on Black Friday, and I'm extremely happy with this TV. It's massive. I have it mounted on a cantilever TV stand. It's around 29Kg if memory serves, so it's pretty heavy. 2 man job to be safe if wall mounting.
Oh and 1 more thing, I used the 'best picture settings' from said expert reviews and the picture sucks. I have my own setting for general viewing which I believe is much better, as do people I show the comparison to.
Sometimes you have to make your own decisions on things. I wanted HDR performance until prices of OLED, and abilities of OLED improve such as peak brightness and screen burn/image retention
Yes it does include VAT and 5 Year Warranty
Chipper? Are you sure?
That's great, thank you very much. I'm not very knowledgeable about all of this stuff, so that will really help.
Thanks, what kind of wall though? Plasterboard? 😰😰
Plasterboard wall yes but there is a sheet of ply behind the plasterboard between the studs in the wall for me to secure it to. You will need to secure it to the studs or if they are too far apart or not exactly where you want to mount your TV you will need to screw a sheet of ply wood between the studs and secure it to that. It will be hidden behind the tv so won't be seen. You can buy wall anchors to fix it directly to the plasterboard without having to hit a stud but personally I wouldn't risk it because the tv is pretty heavy (takes two people to mount it confidently). Sorry if I'm telling you what you already know
Not to focus on HDR.
plasterboard will hold that up no problem, unless a swing out bracket or hanging your kids off it.
check the loading for various fixings like grip it
typically you will have 2-4 holding the bracket.
If you can hit one stud you will be even more secure
if you can get through to solid wall and use anchors you are into over engineered solutions.
The bracket I am using and suggested is a swing out bracket. You can get fixings that apparently hold 25kg each so in theory you are right. Although if you are going to have the tv sitting out from the wall any distance I personally wouldn't risk it just fixed to the plasterboard only. Entirely up to you though
Totally agree...
Whatever you do try and fix your bracket to something more substantial than just the plasterboard
plenty in stock in Sheffield - just bought one today, very happy so far
