Don't know much about that particular LG but they are generally poor for input lag so no good for gaming if that's important to you - quite a price difference as well!

I have the 58" flat version of this TV - input lag is good - reportedly in the 30-40ms range since the last update.

FALD?
dont buy this junk ! Its like buying a kia ceed, as soon as your off the forcourt its worth 10% of what you paid for it
Cold, not enough quantum dots
When I was looking earlier, there were 8 left, now there are 5... I am one of The Three
I'd rather get 3D version from tesco for £68 extra plus 1000 clubcard points too (worth up to £40 with clubcard boost).

The legs of the stand on that model are quite far apart (!) so make sure your TV unit is wide enough first unless you are using a mount.

3D just gives me a headache...

edit: The 3D set is available in some Richer stores for £1049 - might be worth the extra money for the 6 year warranty.

double edit: I think I'm referring to the non-curved 3D version... sorry

FALD?

Google?

FALD = much darker blacks as the set dims the LEDs in dark areas of the picture. It makes a big difference and, imo, a FALD set sits somewhere between a traditional LED and an OLED.

I would describe the blacks on mine as almost plasma like.

Hisense and Kia are by no means 'junk'.
And yes I have a quality Hisense TV and a Kia car (which I don't expect to change for a long time) so have first hand knowledge.
What an ill informed stupid statement from Mr Badge Snob!

It's what happens when you are drunk and trip over the TV

Panasonic only used Vestel for their "cheap as chips range" of TV's and simply stuck one of their own badges on them. That deal has not been renewed in 2016 so no more rebadged Vestel in the bargain bin ...
