I am considering buying this screen so I thought I would run it up the flagpole here to see what the general opinion was.

Hisense LTDN65K680M3D is what every modern home needs. This 4K screen has everything you'd want in a top end TV without the price-tag.

Design

65Inch 164cm diagonal screen. Ultra slim Black bezel with white surround and a chrome plated glass stand with swivel base. The monitor is also VESA compliant so it can be wall-mounted – Perfect for your own home-cinema.

Perfect Picture

In terms of picture quality you will not be disappointed. The Hisense LTDN65K680M3D features such technologies as wide viewing angle, Ultra high contrast ratio, Pinpoint sharpness and wide colour gamut so watching content on this screen will feel like you are actually there.

Powerful Sound

On the back of the monitor you will also find two powerful stereo speakers along with an inbuilt subwoofer to give you great sound without the need for additional speakers.

Ultra-Responsive 400Hz Refresh Rate

This 400Hz means you can watch all the fast moving action, big game sports and high speed racing with none of the motion blur other screens give you.

Ultra HD 4K Resolution

This display features a 4K Ultra High definition panel which means that you are going to get 4 times the detail and clarity of Full HD.

3D

This display also features Active 3D technology and includes two pairs of glasses. Immerse yourself in the action when watching 3D content.

Built in WIFI

Connect to the internet and download connected apps, Facebook, twitter, YouTube and a basic web browser. All you need to surf the web!

Connectivity

The Hisense LTDN65K680M3D features all of the connectivity you could possibly need. It features 4 HDMI ports for connecting devices such as a set top box, DVD or Blu-ray player or games console, PC or Laptop. You also get a dedicated VGA port for connecting older computers.

Also, this display features 3 USB ports for connecting devices such as USB Memory sticks, Portable hard drives and Digital cameras so you can view and store all your content without the need for an external device.

Free Humax Set Top Box

As the LTDN65K680M3D doesn’t have a built in Tuner we have partnered with Humax to offer you the choice of how you want to receive the best channels.

Why so desparate for 4k?

Personally, I would spend the same sort of money on a better 1080p set. Little to be gained from going 4k now and you'll get a very good 1080p set for this sort of money as oppose to this average quality early adopter 4k set.

Can't find a review of this specific model, but every other review I can find of Hisense 4k sets talks about lag and judder and lots of returns ....

That, or give up 10" of display size, bung another £500 in the pot, and you could go OLED ... which will poop all over this as far as PQ goes.

if you can afford £1500 on a TV then why would you be bothered about whether it's a deal or not.

Oh dear.....

No HDMI 2.0

If it's not hdmi 2.0 (or display port but I don't see that mentioned) then it's not worth it imo. You'll only get 30hz refresh regardless of the "400hz" nonsense

Owned this TV 2 days

Good to hear from an owner, I didn't think there were any as I haven't seen any other reviews for it. Did you view it before purchase, perhaps get the opportunity to compare it with other UHD sets?

I'm happy paying £1499
With £170 extras thrown in
2 years hi sense UK warranty got to check if that can be extended
They have a UK office
And stepping in to the UK market with cheap prices
No doubt price will rise
rather not pay another £1000 for a Sammy on top

Last thing
If you want to plug external hard drive in to the usb no dts audio support like the old legs that was annoying
Got round it by western digital media player or the usb on my LG bluray which has dts

Yes because people who have £1500 are not looking to get the best deal possible, we will just throw cash towards something even if it's over expensive!

Facedesk!

Saying that.

I don't see why anybody would buy a non hdmi 2.0 4K television. I'd rather buy a 65" HD television for £500~ cheaper.

Where can you buy a 65 inch TV hd
For £1000
??

There's many on eBay. I bought my beautiful UE65H6400AK for £950 on there and purchased the Extended Service Plan from Samsung directly. There are also cheaper on eBay from lesser known brands for £700-800.

I buy a lot of stuff on ebay buy would never buy something that expensive on there.

With ebay and paypal charges better deals are sometime found on the web and I would be worried about long term repairs etc from the majority of sellers.
