I just got the 55inch version of this for my Mum with dementia. I got a universal remote and she's very happy that she can now use the TV. A great smart TV that you can make simple if necessary.

It also got a five star review in What Hifi. It's very similar to the TCL tv in Currys at the same price. That one does have Dolby Atmos, this one is meant to have a slightly better picture but they are both good, it was just easier to get Argos to deliver. (edited)

Not sure why a review is posted of the 50". It is known that different panel types often apply to differingvscreen size.

How does this TV compare to the Samsung Q65A?
  7. Avatar
The Samsung is probably better, it is a QLED. It also costs more. It really depends on your usage. If you just a decent cheap TV with a robust OS, this is good. If you game or watch a lot of HDR content, then the Samsung will be better. This is a lot of TV for the money

I recently got the 4K Firestick Max so need a good TV to go with it. It will be mainly for watching content. NOW TV, Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ to name a few. Current TV is junk and outdated.

This is a good TV and half the price of the Samsung. IMO it's not half the TV. If you have a Currys near you, the TCL Roku TV may be a better bet for 4K content.

If you want a decent big TV, you can get a 65 inch Hisense or TCL Roku TV for the price of a 43 inch Samsung. The Blacks will not be as black, but the Hisense plays 4k well. The upscaling on the Hisense is really good. My mum just watches old TV shows. If you are predominantly watching 4K content, the TCL is slightly better, but they are much of a muchness.

This will give you an idea

Current TV is garbage. It's a 2017 Toshiba. The panel is no where near bright enough. Anyway mainly for viewing sports and TV (Netflix, Disney+, YT). I rather go with a well known big brand. TCL sounds cheap

Hisense and TCL are third and fourth in the world's biggest TV brands behind LG and Sony. Both the TCL and Hisense TVs have five star What Hifi ratings. Don't get me wrong, the Samsung is also rated five stars and is a better piece of kit. After a lot of research, I found those two to be the best cheap 4K TVs. If you can stretch to midrange and go for the Samsung it will be better.
