Agreed, but can you get a Moto G for £99?

Beats me how phones are continually sold with out of date operating systems.

If you are ridiculously fortunate to find the old stock, you can get the first gen 8gb G from Tesco for £60! It's cracking phone - I bought one for my Mother last year when they came out and was really impressed by the performance.

As for the 10/10 on the reviews - how many people was it that reviewed it

Only one review on Revoo (although it's very positive). Chip is a Snapdragon 200. TBH this looks like a good punt - heat from me! Hope someone feeds back with what they're like. Shame it's not KitKat I use a Moto G 4G personally, so no need to buy from this end. Any improvment on the Moto's abysmal camera is welcome!

Exactly what I was thinking too? .. even some Sumsung & HTC Phones are still currently being 'Shipped Out' without KikKat?, so ..... (& this Hisense is a fresh 'Model' in the Mobile Phone Game too?, so what you reckon ..... )

Give it a wee while .. & then see ..... lol. :-)

I would buy it. It has great widgets and I believe it's Android 4.3. Is it a big difference between this and Kitkat? I am wondering about this 8mp camera. Is it any good?

Mighy be usually £150 but they have reduced it by 1pence,Woopee.

looks pretty expensive when compared to the Lenovo A560 which is nearly half the price (mind you with half the RAM though pretty much identical otherwise hardware specs)

Half the ram is quite important though. I would shudder at the thought of 512mb ram running modern apps simultaneously.

The biggest selling phone operating system is android. The sheep comment is no longer valid. I use iOS for phone and Android for tablet, no point having both the same

Yea, with terrible batteries. That's the problem with Chinese phones, there's always one single thing that brings the phone down.

The Doogee DG900 looks great for £132.59, but I don't think it properly supports 3G in this country?

You can't call Android users sheep though, because of the sheer choice of phones available. You rarely find 'brand snobs' when it comes to Android IMO.
iphone users get called sheep because they blindly follow every incarnation, despite the fact they pay even more for a phone that's lagged so far behind the competition..

For full 3G support in the UK you need 900MHz and 2100MHz as the quoted 3G frequencies.

That Doogee has those according to the description on Antelife.

Ah, nice.. it's back on my radar then! I think I'll hold out for reviews first, then hopefully it'll be in their Spain warehouse soon

I bought the Kingzone K1 TURBO ........ don't get the non turbo
Fantastic phone, I paid £120 for it, but its now gone up to £170 ish and over £200 in places,

Can anyone recommend a good Chinese phone?

Looking at Doogee, Xiaomi, OnePlus One, Elephone, Meizu, etc..

Cheers.

Doogee

Sounds like a name for a well hung Donkey.

The only thing I'd be concerned about with Chinese phones is how well shielded they are. Phones for the european market have to meet certain standards I think, although not certain there's that much evidence that the phone would fry your brain. Then again I hear reports of things like 10x as much radiation and you have to wonder whether that's a good thing.

Videos like this freak me out a bit.

Branded phones are made in the same oem factories as these ones and as long as the factory meets international safety standards (which they will when producing something this complex) there won't be a problem.

Chinese state-owned company though. I wouldn't trust it.

Trust me, the Chinese government is not interested in seeing photos of your dinner on instagram or attention seeking vague status updates about being sad on Facebook.

I have the doogee dg310 and am very happy with it. The quality of the build is pretty good and has worked with every app that I have downloaded. only downside is battery isn't brilliant but I do get a full day out of it. Hope that helps.

Android 4.3, serious? A year out of date? Sorry, but that has to be cold.

That iSheep comment always makes me laugh. Why do people never say the same about Windows users? Winsheep, all just using the same operating system because everyone else does.

The garbage that comes out of the mouth of the trolls / zealots when it comes to anti-vendor sentiment, never fails to amuse me.

Is the comment about it not reading 3G properly true? If that's the case the proper phones could be just as bad if not worse.

It's a shame these days that the OP has to put "please don't shoot me down"

The OP is not being shot - the users of Hot UK Deals are shooting themselves in the foot with their "know it all" armchair knowledge.

It is the nature of the internet to hide behind a keyboard and hurl insults and tell people that "your deal is rubbish because the Moto G is better" - forcing your own preferences on other people (or trying to).

That's why I stopped posting a long time ago. I guess it takes about 10 minutes to get the link and the pictures/description up but I keep the deals to myself now because I'm fed up of them comments.

Thanks OP. Have some heat, and ignore the idiots.
