I must have been lucky then. Seems as if it depends upon the person price matching as I tried to get a price match on this TV about 1.5 months ago from another thread. Other people got it but they declined mine.

also the 55" version get mixed reviews. the best one to get is the 50". it's a amazing tv I've had it two weeks now.

So with your old Sony speakers correct me if i'm wrong but you needed an amp and speaker cable and they took up a lot more space, unlike these?

I was curious because, as I said, they looked like the speakers I have (turns out I have the 3s not 5s). My old Sony PC speakers were active so no, no amp or extra space taken up.

I wish I had the balls to spend £200 for pc speakers. I just can't do it.

Common sense!

Apart from the lack of mids, there is also the problem of the bass control dial being situated at the back of the sub. You will have to get on your hands and knees to adjust the bass if you put the sub on the floor like most people do.

Great speakers, sub is very heavy, not that your going to walk around with it

Annoying that they are basically the ae2 but with the wireless dongle which you can't buy separately.
Buy these, buy the ae2 cable with controls and you have best of both worlds.

Have been looking for 1 of these for the summer trips away, this is the best price i've come across

Comes with EU and UK adaptors, delivery is £7 I think but was 48hour so pretty quick. I got mine from Amazon de and had no probs at all, in fact the price came down a few days later and they even refunded the difference (customer support via email spoke English)

available for 229 euro in amazon .de, should be cheaper then.. would it have an UK plug or European one, that's the dilemma

From what I've read, these were the best noise-cancelling headphones you could get, and the only other contender now is the newer Sennheiser set. I'd love a pair for work but can't afford them, but if you're thinking about buying a pair, this is a great deal and I'd grab them now if it's what you're after. These were always more than £230 (£250-300 most retailers) and stayed this price for months upon months. On Ebay they went near the £200 USED mark until very recently. I struggle to see how much technology has changed significantly in a few months that justifies the big premium for the new model, especially as the price of batteries in a lifetime's usage of these is insignificant relative to the initial cost. My inkling is that these will go up in price after the 'cut-price' retailers shift their stock and the other shops are left with stock they are relectant to shift (possibly at a loss), and they develop a 'cult' folllowing like a lot of good HiFi gear does. They might possibly drop by a tenner in several months time, but if you're willing to wait you probably don't NEED these and can settle for a different pair.

I have the QC25 which I got from Amazon.de for just over £200. It was a toss up between these and the P5s. I'm not really sure these are that great. When I first tried the P5s in an Apple shop (very noisy place), I was blown away. The P5s were physically very solid, well built, and the sound quality was incredibly rich, even in a noisy environment.

I then decided to order the QC25s based on reviews only as I didn't get a chance to try them out in a shop. After trying them on at home for about 5 mins, I was quite underwelmed. The unit itself is quite plasticcy and whilst doesn't feel overly cheap, it isn't anywhere near the P5. Sound quality was also average. I presume once I try them out on the tube and at work, my impressions will improve once I fully utilise the NC.

I think basically from what I've heard and also read online, if you're going to be listening to music on the road a lot, get these. If listening in a quiet place, get the P5s. And I think if you want these, just spend a tiny bit more and get the QC25 from amazon.de instead. The returns policy is just as good.

Great price and headphones.... but just to set the record straight, the QC25 model DOES have improved noise cancelling.

REVIEW:
Bose has somehow managed to improve upon awesome. ...The proof is in the silence. In a head-to-head sound-off, the QC 25's ANC was quieter than the QuietComfort 15s and blocked out more background noise. The QC 25s immediately rendered my colleagues' conversations virtually mute. I could still make out remnants of sentences when I switched to the QC 15s.

The biggest difference between ANC on the QC 25s and the QC 15s is what I like to call the vacuum effect. Wearing the QC 15s can feel like you're on an airplane preparing for ascent or descent. It's not painful, but the pressure can be disconcerting. I didn't feel any of that with QC 25s; there was only serene silence.

If you read on, the QC25 also offer improved sound quality.

You can buy a genuine LED TV here, for £500 extra (I know, I know, pay more and buy better - but if you are buying a flagship TV for your house, that you hope to keep for the next 5-10 years, I wouldn't buy an LCD. Look for an OLED or 2nd hand plasma screen.2. Reviews have this as a poor quallity TV. For those used to LCD TVs - you may not realise the poor image quality, but for those who have used a plasma TV or are expecting to be bowled over by their new £1.5k purchase - the last thing you want to be thinking is that your old TV is far better.3. If you don't want the best image quality (OLED), AND want to save money, then get an LCD, 4K screen. for about £800. You can keep this for the next 4 years or so, until OLED TVs go mainstream and then upgrade.4. The only positive about this TV is the size.Buying this TV makes little sense, whichever way you look at it.

Led and LCD are exactly the same bar the backlighting... This is a led TV.. It says it uses a LCD panel because every led TV uses a LCD panel

I still don't see the point of 4k on such a small screen. To notice the difference you have to sit about 4 feet from the screen. The only thing it should be good for is 3d, oh and also projectors. There is a great article on cnet about why 4k is a waste of time you should read before buying. Much better to get a 1080p set with the best specs you can.

Over the internet. It doesn't matter if it goes cold actually. The lower the price comes down the better. LG got an amazingly bad press when the UHDTVs first came out. They listened to HDTVtest.com and released some firmware that made a massive difference. Nevertheless the damage is already done and those that bought early models don't have a good word for them. I can only say that I have been majorly pleased with my purchase and the LG customer support has been fairly helpful
