Will hard drive fit envelope? ;/

Great deal

Hot i paid 65 for this just over 6 months ago

Great drive. Had one for a little while now, and it's really well made, and seems reliable.

Does anyone know how well these work with Macs?

Hot. Very tempted, but the reviews on Amazon suggest that it's quite a slow drive.

It is slow so good for archive on a daily basis and not for active movement of data in/out hourly.

Not at all.

Don't buy the envelopes. Buy a tshirt. Or anything else not food. A toy. Whatever. And then return it. Simple! Get the free delivery and the £10 off, without the extra cost.

fantastic spot !!! and the it works out to get £10 quids... ma mates got this HDD.....and have no issues with that....worcs absolutely fine

Its all about read/ write times on different drives, some drives can have lower transfer speeds than USB2 (or 3 now) can take, hence they are slower than one that can take full advantage of the available bandwidth... now whether you'd notice or even be that bothered is another thing. I bought a "slow drive" and its fine, I only have my old HDD as a benchmark and in comparison it flies!!!!

To answer your question, yes this will be perfect for storage, it may take a bit longer but we're not talking a week to transfer an mp3 Some say that a slower drive can actually be more reliable.... but Im sure there will be people who will despute that

and it probarbly isnt 65cm high as stated on the tesco description. but a useful excuse for a refund if it didnt work out.

What software do you use for ripping?

I bought a 40.00 1tb verbatim and I opened it and had a samsung F series drive, very surprised

Was just about to buy an external drive. Glad I waited
Ordered thanks.

yes, works fine

You can use the code for all the external hard drives - I tried to highlight the best ones in the thread below (the one in the main link has increased in price but others mentioned in Post 1 still available).

I need a 1tb harddrive but the thing is if I buy it now I will not connect 12 weeks from now. Due to exams. So do you think the price will drop further then and I just wait until then?

£40.79 at eBuyer and around £40-£43 at many other places. 3 months is a long time and the Tesco £10 off for £50 happens at least twice a year (reason is that store financial performance is boosted with such offers).

thanks ordered :P

I have one of these things. It does the job but can be a little noisy when spinning up the drives.

hot. as an idea to get to the £50 could add x 4 aa tesco batteries @ £1.79. everyone needs batteries for their remote controls.!!

out of stock:(

??? Does this make sense ???
Compared to PC's... I think most would agree that MACS just don;t go wrong as often. Blue screen of death...not on a MAC!
Anyways...back to the deal.
