dam diggity find
Mega hot! Thanks very much! I've been looking for another 2tb for a while and this is by far the best deal out there I think. You won't find it anywhere else under £100 at first glance.
One second it seems the HDD's are coming down, then you look for an internal and they are through the roof.

How can they sell this USB 3.0 2TB for this price, but cant offer the internal for this price. surley it costs more to make this due to the case and connections
Hot!
good price
man not sure how long to wait until they come down
It is a great deal - just remember that it requires a power supply and if you use a laptop this can be frustrating as the wire is generally very small.

Hot!
just seen on the bay so popped in to see ppl's thoughts. I notice spindle speed is only 5400rpm, this an issue?

These will have been purchased from manufacturers back in the day when 2tb drives were £40. Plain hard drives stock need replenishing more often, so ebuyer would have paid higher prices for those drives, hence these being cheaper

anybody know if you can remove the drive , and use it as an internal , if so what size ???

click on change next to the card, it then gives you option to pay by cards on your account
Nice find - But how many are now going to have to purchase a USB 3.0 interface card for their PC's? (£15-20). I would have to.

Surely it's backward compatible - you'll just get much better performance from it if you invest in a USB 3.0 interface card...

Novatech are doing 2Tb WD Caviar Green at £93 delivered. Is it really worth the effort of dismantling and invalidating your warranty for the saving ....?

Not sure who's drive you'll find inside either.

Been holding out for 2 months for one.
Thanks ordered.
Performance of the 2TB may not be anywhere as good as the 7200rpm 3TB it seems - amazon.co.uk/pro…s=1 - 20-25MB/s write speed on large files isn't great...

N.B. Reading between the lines this guy may be using USB 2.0 so performance on USB3.0 may be much better.

Yes it will be backwardly compatible, but surly the main selling point of this drive is its USB 3.0 speed.

seems a bit weird though the guy looks to have only checked this on usb2 and then states an unattainable figure with the usb2 buffalostation - pinch of salt required imo.

There is a bit of discussion on 4TB of this unit. They say the return rates are a bit high for Hitachi.

I will probably skip this but price is very hot for 2 TB and usb 3.0. Heat

it doesn't show the pro model in any picture of the drive - the pro is just a mistaken text addition to one out of four pictures
doesn't describe the pro
you wont get the pro

don't lie, just admit that you didn't realise that it was backwards compatible
