Happy?

I was joking

Now that you've mentioned me, you're free to add a sir before my (nick) name and "the great" after it

* joke again *

great deal

Thanks I've reserved one to pick up later

Will do as a xmas pressie for my dear old ma

was previously listed on HUKD at £179 - so even better at £169

Only 720p unfortunately.

I bought this for my girlfriend last month and although 720p it has an excellent picture and has played every movie file format I have thrown at it so far via the USB.

Do not let the HD ready put you off!

Apparentley it comes with a free stand. Great deal!

Correct me if I am wrong but on a 32" it hardly matters if 1080p or 720p.

I have a 32" (720) for the bedroom and a 42" (1080) for sitting room, the quality on HD TV/Media looks the same on both, up close you can notice a small difference but who sits that close to the screen!

Great price, heat added.

depends on the makes and models. **** screens look **** in 1080p decent screens look good

:)x thanks bargain !!

Thx to the OP.

this is a good deal for a 32inch tv but i think i would rather this samsung similar spec from argos outlet for the extra,, i know its an argos refurb but 12 months warranty with it and probably will be like a new tv, hitachi tvs are not the best and i would definitely rather the samsung.
link to samsung but only 3 left at time of writing

this is an outstanding deal, shame I'm totally skint until payday

I bought the 40" Hitachi from Argos and it was rubbish! it broke 2 months later.

I'd avoid it.

true, but some people can't even tell the difference between non-HD and 1080p, nevermind 720p

...and others don't even care

You've been a member for just 3 hours & 47 minutes and you posted your first & only comment 10 minutes after becoming a member. Something smells fishy...

Nice one OP bagged on on the way home, (plenty of stock in Weybridge) I don't think you can cant ask much more for a cheap and cheerful 32" agree the sound is a bit tinny (but as I have a "spare" external speaker for it anyway no great shakes!) On the limited tests I did last night its a great little unit and effectively for £160 I don't think you can go far wrong here...

Agreed..only my son admits to noticing a difference at home. Although I did for some time think it was a conspiracy to make me question my essential upgrades by a group that cannot be singled out for fear of me being labeled sexist.

Picked mine up this morning, xmas pressie for the olds. Turned it on and it's not 3 bad tbh. Overly bright out of the box but menu's are comprehensive enough to sort that. Sound is atypical cheap LCD, as expected. My only niggle and it's picky is that I'd have liked an HDMI input on the side.

anyone know how good it would be for gaming?

looking for a 26-32" tv for my son for his ps3 (one day to be upgraded to ps4....). my eldest has a sony 32" smart tv which he's really pleased with, but our budget doesn't stretch to that this time (eldest added his own cash to get better specs ).

have max of £200 to spend, so this hitachi one would mean he might actually get something else to open on xmas day

Should be alright for gaming. Many games that are played on the PS3 do not actually support 1080p and they run in 720p so I wouldn't let the "No 1080p Full HD" tag put you off.

Thanks OP! one on order for the spare room

thanks op!
ordered one for our bedroom.

picked one up today not really good for the wall as not very thin and the bottom of the tv is a lot thicker where the stand fits to , so unless you get a wall bracket that comes away from the wall a fair bit then dont buy ,i am pleased with the picture seems sharp enough and was a good price for a 32 inch tv .
