Clearance Bargains in Walsall has got a new, big tv department, best deal i saw was a hitachi 32 inch lcd tv for £119. Spoke to a manager and he said he expects to sell out of this line quick as it is priced to clear. It was switched on showing a movie, great picture so bought one!
(They've got some really big tv's at unbelievable prices too)

Number? Just ask a member of staff when you go in, i asked for cheapest 32 inch and they took me right to it, they had them stacked up at front of shop also

Original Poster

They don't have a website so i guess in store only...

Ok thanks

Most of their TVs are refurbs, so bear that in mind.

Actually come to think of it I can't remember seeing a brand new one in there for a good while.

Do you work for them barrys212?

Original Poster

No but i shop there from time to time, sometimes walk out with nothing but today i picked up quite a lot of stuff, i usually do my xmas shopping there, it's excellent for kids toys and bikes

cat number cant find on website

Original Poster

Where will the cat number be? I've binned the box, will it be on the tv?

Receipt?

Some one bought a TV back to argos the other day as he didn't like the picture and wanted to pay extra and get a better model.......... Manager damaged off a brand new TV! Destined for skip! It was a travesty. I asked why staff at least couldn't have dibs. He said in the past staff had been allowed and then fiddled full price refunds to them selves or something. Surprised at his honesty tbh

Where was this, their walsall outlet?

Wot a load of dogs dangly bits u spout.

Bought one of these makes boasting a full 1080p for under £200 with integrated HD freeview, for a family granny . I was surprised how watch-able it was, and still is after several years. I myself view a Panny plassy 1080p and the Hitachi stacks up well against it..

Erm, ok, I'll bite - why are you attempting to insult him using a colloquialism that is positive in nature, and doesn't even make any contextual sense?

We have two of these TVs purchased at the same time but both came with slightly different software as a result one TV has more features than the other, these TVs aren't very good, standard free view built in, no USB ports.

Some supermarkets are doing a better deal at the moment for slightly bigger sized screens too.

Steal. But, is it refurbished?

I've gotta pop to Debenhams later so I'll take a look. Although I'm pretty confident they are.

nice found. worth take a look

These have been this price for a few weeks at the Corby one and have hardly flown off the shelves.

Cheers OP!

Is this it? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1395862.htm

It comes to £119 with the £10 voucher off when you make a purchase over £100

Note, resolution is 1396 x 768 pixels so it's not full HD (1080p)

It's not on the Argos website, it's only available from the Clearance Bargains store.

BTW the TV you linked to is 19", not 32".

the dog's b*ll*cks or the mutt's nuts are colloquial terms comparable to the bee's knees.

All the above (as SanToki said) are intended to signify that something is good. For example: this TV may be a good deal but for picture quality, my panel that cost 5x more is the mutt's nuts!

I bought 2 of these when they were £109 (on special offer last Bank Holiday). They are refurbs, I think they are good value for the money. Only available from the Walsall outlet . There was plenty available the last time I was there .

I can't believe people are getting confused with this deal, is it online, is it this 19 inch tv......
The OP said he/she found them in Clearance Bargains in Walsall, so obviously it is not online but in the Argos shops where it might be national. So you look in your local Argos store if they are doing a clearance on tvs and see if they have a Hitachi 32inch marked at £119! oO

It's not in local Argos stores. It's in an outlet store called Clearance Bargains that sells off refurb, returns and ex catalogue stock from Argos.

Clearance Bargains do have all sizes of TV's at reasonable prices however please look at there return polices before purchase. Even though they are a EX Argos catalogue shop there return policies are different.
For those uncertain where it's located the address is Midland Road Walsall, West Midlands WS1 3QB
019227 48800
I'm sure they deliver for a fee.
Hope this information helps

10 days to think this up.

If you must know Debenhams is a few minute walk from Clearance Bargains so I use their free car park when I'm in Walsall.

The TVs were refurbs and strangely there was an oldish guy called Barry behind the electronic counter who kept pestering people looking at the TVs.
