Seems cheap - is the contrast rate really 1,100:1, as that seems really low, even for an old model?

Has had alot of good reviews on argos's site, see what they say

I've had the earlier model to this for two years now. It is a great TV and as good as my higher spec LG and Samsung. Definately hot.

Why? It costs more. The point is, is this worth the price? Genuine question. I want a TV for my bedroom, mostly as to hook up with a Media Center PC. Is it still worth it to pay the extra on the Tosh?

Spriggan ah maybe so......

This appears to be model L32HP03 - ]Hitachi website.
