Looks a good deal that

This is basically just a screen - no tv tuner!

just a panel no tv tuner , not a good deal

I have seen this posted about 10 times on here all from Richer Sounds. Do the Richer Sounds advertising dept just post it avery few weeks or something? I think they may be having trouble shifting the stock they have left.

I only ever watch cable or use the consoles and never use my tuner.

no one has used a tuner in years

same here. i think its a good idea and surprised more manufacturers havent picked it up. if you dont need the viewer you're paying extra for something you'll never use. all the people ive spoken to with freeview dont rate it. its the cheapest 32" ive seen from a reputable manufacturer. the other option is to spend another £50-£100 on a (possibly less) attractive tv and a freeview or analogue tuner you may not want.

I dont have an HD source at home yet so I dont see the point. I have a decent old Sony CRT which looks better than a lot of (or most really) flatscreen HD tv for SD signals. I also work in broadcasting and FULLY understand how video signals work so dont start telling me about HD 'upscaling' because you wont get very far.
