Richer Sounds VIP email....looks a good price for a branded 37" Hi-Def LCD - quick price checked Dixons over a £100 more....but I could be wrong!

HITACHI L37V01
37" LCD TV
The L37V01 makes a mockery of similarly priced unbranded 37" 1080p LCDs, and offers a quality of picture never seen at this price level.
1080p Full HD doesn't get any better value than this! Coming complete with a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen, the L37V01 is fully compatible with the highest resolution video - 1080p. This means that whether you have a Play Station 3, Blu-ray or HD-DVD player, this Hitachi 37" LCD will allow you to enjoy it to its full potential. Fed with a 1080p signal, the L37V01u offers amazing levels of detail due to the 2.6x extra pixels. Depth and realism of image are also greatly improved.

Thanks to a wide range of sockets, inputting both your standard and high definition sources is easy with the L37VO1u. Twin HDMI sockets look after HD sources, whilst Component, 2 SCARTs, S-Video and composite see to the standard sources. For added flexibility there's also a PC input for your home computer.

As you'd expect from a fully equipped 1080p LCD TV, a Freeview digital tuner is standard. This combines with an Electronic Program Guide and Common Interface Slot to make digital channels both accessible and easy to enjoy.

Finished to Hitachi's usual high standards, the L37V01 makes a mockery of similarly priced unbranded 37" 1080p LCDs, and offers a quality and detail of picture never before seen at this price level.

If you've been thinking about taking the 1080p plunge, now is the time!

You have to register, then VIP prices are sent by email, I reckon if you call into the store and say you had the email they would honour it, they tend to be pretty good at Richer Sounds

Great for the price! I've bought one today as a second TV to my Sony SXRD 55" - looks excellent on HD for the price, but SD isn't brilliant if I'm honest. I'd say it's perfect for a cheap gaming TV, but not a good front room job if you haven't got sky HD. Ignore what anyone says about the contrast - it's fine for the price.
