Hitachi (42HXT12U) 42 inch Full HD 1080p Freeview LED TV @ Clearance Bargains £169.99

Found 2nd May 2014
The model is: 2047810.

Okay so it's not some high-end 55 inch Samsung SMART TV (no matter how hard you try to imagine). But what it most certainly appears to be, is a bargain price for a 42 inch television.

Probably not worth bothering if you're looking for some top notch device. But if you're happy with a bargain that does the basic job then this is a hot deal.

These are available in other stores (thanks to all the hukd'ers for their updates).

It's not an online deal (as far as I know).

Do you know which Hitachi model. I wouldn't mind just checking the spec before wandering into town.

I'm off down there later so I'll let you know the full spec.

The model is in the original details at the top of the post.

Valley Street North, DL1 1LF.

It's near Halfords (come out of Halfords, turn left and then it's the road on the right), on the same road as Fatso's

Thanks

Just been down and got 3 (limit). It's a 42 HXT12U. Perfect condition. Nice find OP.

can't make it to darlo today.

can anyone post up the argos code off the box so I can check if the stanley store have any?

Link ain't working

anyone have opening times for this store please?

FriesWithThat

Still on sale in Argos

might be classed as refurbs

last thing I got off them had a refurb sticker on the box even though it was brand new

Showing price as 289 in Widnes

I've just called the Darlington store and asked about this and was told that its £289. I asked if they had any deals in the store on any Hitachi TV just in case I had the model number wrong and they said no. This sounds like a cracking deal though

These are not on offer in the proper Argos store. They are in their Clearance Store.
The tv is a "refurb" but mine are all still factory sealed. The reason I was given for the clearance is that the outer packaging has a typo in regard to the dimensions of the tv versus the outer box. ie. the stated dimensions of the box are smaller than the actual tv. Go figure!
Worth a visit anyways as there are some nice bargains in there on allsorts of stuff.

Anyone who has bought one best get it tested as I've just bought one myself and it has a fault, randomly powers off then back on, will be taking it back tomorrow for refund, not happy!

Thanks for the clarification.

Great for a kids room or your own bedroom.

Or perhaps even a front room? I'd never put a TV that size in a kid's room, not even in my own bedroom.

says £289 on website

Anyone know if Walsall have stock?

Why don't you try reading a bit before posting.........

Of the three I purchased, 2 are untouched and 1 has been refurbed but not a mark on the TV, in perfect condition. The only give away is the different wrapping around the unit and the paper manual has been handled before. Quite chuffed with 42" of full HDTV for the price.

does this have netflix app, by any chance.

thinking of buying a new tv for the lounge.

just rang stanley branch and darlington branch.

189.99 at stanley
199.99 at darlington (18 left)

argos number for the model is 204/7810, not 147/4680 as linked in another post to the argos website

deal expired, well done to anyone that got one.
