If you are thinking about this TV I would suggest spending a bit more and get the PD9700 model which is much better.

However if you have a budget worth considering.

I admit being biased as I have the PD9700. The price has dropped in the last 6 months from over £1500 to well under £1000.

so what resolutions can this TV output? can it handle 720p? 1080i? also i can't figure out what its response time is.

plasmas dont have repsonse times. thats lcd's.

as the res is 1024 x 1024 the answer to your question on 720p and 1080i is yes.
