    Great price - BUT
I bought a 58 inch Hitachi, great picture, nice operating system, but only lasted 18 months, screen bled and switched off and more than apparently a common fault with the model.
TV's used to last for years not months !
Check the model to see how this performs, I for one will not buy Hitachi again.

Hitachi is not longer a real brand, Argos have bought the rights to use their name and they stick it on whatever products they choose... with TVs it'll be stuck on Vestel's made in Turkey, Vestel are huge and make TVs that have other well known brands such as Bush, the low end Panasonics, Toshiba, Finlux and many others. They're not terrible but they are the budget sector of TVs

Aren't Hitachi now owned by a Turkish company and have nothing to do with their Japanese counterparts? Much like Toshiba is owned by Hisense?

A bizarre new world we live in! I can't see why anyone would buy these tellys! (edited)

It's doesn't have disney plus or paramount plus otherwise I would have snapped this up

In all honesty grab a simple cheap Roku or equivalent to go with it. At least then you aren't ever tied to one brand of TV over another based on what apps they do/don't have.

Really good price but the problem with these Hitachi re-branded tvs is you may not necessarily get what you are expecting, A while back I bought two Hitachi branded Tvs, same model from the same store at the same time yet one has less features than the other, poor software updates, re-branded Visteon tvs the pair i had.

    Great price though.

It doesn't have Disney Plus or Paramount Plus, so I will snap this up......

Argos aren’t even saying what the price “used to be”… easy pass lol

£30 quid more for the same size

£50 more for a superior Hisense.

The issue with these cheap panels is that they just start bleeding. My low range LG which I think had a similar panel did just that.

    Hitachi is a good make.

43" TCL's often pop up for this price or not a lot more (usually on ebay with a discount code) and are much better.
Suggest you hold out till a deal pops up unless you need a TV urgently, or spend the extra £30 now for a TCL.

Got this one for £207 a couple of Months ago and it's superb -

Always worth waiting for those ebay codes. (edited)
