Seems like a pretty good price for a large 4K TV. There's also a 50 inch variant at £299.99 here: argos.co.uk/pro…146

The Smart feature in Hitachi tvs is rubbish dont bother
already posted?
This TV any good? Is HDR necessary?
I bought the 50inch version a few weeks ago. Very impressed for the price so far. At £300 for the 50inch it's a bargain!
Considering getting the 43inch for the conservatory!!
bought a SMART Hitachi for 7yo daughter as she doesn't have an aerial but has good broadband. It wont let her use iplayer, etc with being tuned in. Wont tune in with an indoor aerial. I would leave Hitachi well alone for Smart features.
This anygood for ps4 pro ? I dont know enough about the need of hdr . But seems a good buy for 250
1 x Scart socket in a 4K TV
I bought the 50" version last January in the Argos sale. While it's a decent TV I'd thought I'd just let anybody thinking of buying one know that you should be prepared to buy a sound bar too. The sound quality is absolutely horrendous. I had no intention of buying a sound bar, but the sound on my TV is so bad, the speakers buzz just listening to the lunchtime news being read.

Do you really need more than 1? I only use scart in the TV for my Wii.

Fair play if people want to plug old tech into a 4k TV I suppose, but I meant why would anyone want one at all.
I picked the 50" version up this morning and have just finished setting it up and am impressed even just on HD.

It does replace a 42" 720 plasma Hitachi that is over 10 years old though.

I've got a fairly good eye for picture quality and it does look good (especially for the price).

I also got it for just under £280 as my work runs some gift card voucher scheme that I can get 7.5% off at Argos as well.

Thanks for posting.
Picked up the 43" version for my sons bedroom to go with his echo dot and apple tv 4k that we got him for xmas, he already has a soundbar so sound not an issue, haven't tried out any apps yet but he's loving it so far, best value around that i could find, would recommend so far so good.

Echo this, I bought the 43" for £249 well over a year ago, picture quality is great at HD, UHD movie I watched was epic. If you search the site (HUKD) there's likely a few threads for the previous deals including someone who tested it for chroma specs.
Can you watch the Netflix/YouTube app in 4k?

Yes it does. Picked up this morning. Very impressed with this. Native apps work in 4K.

Also have NVidia Shield TV hooked up. HDMI CEC is great and let’s me use TV remote on the shield too.
