Found 23rd Feb 2016
Going live on 24th February. On there now for £359.99, but will be £249.99. It's not 3D, it's probably made by Goodmans, it's not 1000hz, it's not a plasma, it's lag is probably bad for gaming, there's not a lot of 4k content... Etc etc...
But £250 for a 43"UHD 4k smart TV seems pretty good to me!

The model is: 43HGT69U

It's the same price as the 1080p version. It displays moving pictures, and has sound. I'd imagine it works pretty well as a basic, cheap TV. At a cheap price. Pointless is a little harsh and a lot ignorant. The reviews are really good at a higher price.

That's smaller. More expensive. And not smart.
I wanted +40"
And I wanted smart.
It's for my bedroom.
The reviews are great so it can't be that bad.
And I'm disillusioned with Samsung at the moment. Spent £1600 2 and a half years ago on 55f8000 and there's a lot that annoys me about that TV.

Brilliant
How did you get wind of this deal being announced OP? I'm in the market for a tv bedroom too so am wondering if there are any more argos deals being launched at midnight.

It does make me laugh that the tv "experts" hunt out these posts purely to say how bad they are.

3" on the diagonal, adds a fair bit of screen real estate. As I said, it's a cheap and cheerful tv for my room. I spent the premium on Samsung before and I regret it. And the reviews of my Samsung were amazing at £2k.

I think the balanced comment here is that this is a low price for a budget TV having the upper-end of the Vestel featureset where the picture quaity, smart features and expected longevity reflect the price. The main issue with a 43" 4k TV is that to benefit from the resolution difference between 4k and 1080p the viewer would typically need to be sitting so close to the TV that they would be kneecapping themselves on the TVs stand. That could be applied to any 43" 4k TV.
Hot in the context of it's an undeniably low price for an entry-level 43" TV.

Yeah... I noticed that. But it definitely goes live on the 24th, so reserve instore, and you'll be able to pick it up at the reduced price.

No 43 inches, just 40 inches, ask any woman, those extra 3 inches make all the difference.
any review for this?
is it good enough as a PC MONITOR for OFFICE use? (not gaming)
I cannot find any review online because it has no model number.

You clearly have zero knowledge of current society if you truly believe that 99% prefer quality to quantity.

Exactly my question - it would depend on the support of full chroma at 60 Hz.

There's a bigger issue - the bigger the screen gets, the more obvious any minor flaws are. Vestel/UMC sets are fine for, say, 40" or smaller but the more you blow up the image the worse it looks.

As for resolution, ignore it. Go for 4K if you like but if you think the picture quality will be "better" because of resolution then you're sorely mistaken. To disagree would be to suggest that a 20 megapixel phone camera produces images the same quality as a 20 megapixel DSLR. The processing behind the image counts for far more than the number of actual pixels on screen
I am considering the philips 4k 43 inches TV, it is about 300gbp, slightly expensive than this 1.
But the brand might be better, as I am using philips 4k pc monitor now.
