tbh the hitachi has better reviews and is probably the better buy if you want a more balanced rounded experience.

far too many complain about the over-bearing bass on all of the panasonics, and it cannot be turned down low enough for it to be comfortable listening. that's apart from the number of comments about the refurbs that develop faults or come with faults (but they do have 12 month warranty).

Output wattage is not a definitive of sound quality.
Good price but I do believe the Panasonic mentioned above is a better buy. Not because it is louder, but if it comes with 12 months warranty, it should be OK.
how does the unit divide its watts 460w in total...?

No. My point was to help others, Argos have no regard for SOGA whatsoever. So if you have the same problem stick to your guns (not real guns) Anything else you would like me to explain.

Well based on the items i have/had then i think yes.

I recently bought 1 speaker that had '600w' and compared it to another that had '1700w' both rms and the winner was???

Either way that's how people consider how an audio item is gonna sound but if sellers are still using pointless words like "peak" and "pmpo" to sell there item's then it can confuse some costomers into thinking there buying something good when it's meahhhhh .
I completely agree. The professional audio industry measures Watts into an 8ohm load and quotes the maximum distortion at that power level.

Home audio companies use lots of weasely words and a bit of black magic to quote all sorts of made up nonsense. There’s no way any of these systems deliver anything like their quoted power level even driving just one speaker at a time. My £1,500 AV amplifier can’t output 180W, and I’m sceptical it can really manage 100W.

As someone pointed out earlier the maximum input power is often much less than the output power. If that were true we wouldn’t need CERN to research nuclear fusion - we could just power the entire world from lots of sound bars wired together...
  • Total power output: 460 watts.
  • Speaker bar: 50 watts.
  • Subwoofer: 65 watts

Do you have the seller information for eBay because I am having trouble finding any for those prices (including a 'sold' search)? I can then put a watch on the seller instead. Thanks.

Its Panasonic ebay

Thank you for your help. I was having trouble finding it with the app but searching "Panasonic eBay" via Google did the job.
I'm really interested in this but couldn't find much in terms of reviews.
I saw this feedback from a customer on ebay:

"Big issue is when bass levels are low the bass box keeps switching in and out with a weird fluttering - it sounds really bad and tbh makes the sysytem pretty useless as it id supposed to improve sound.

I have seen this in a second hand one and a brand new one so suspect its a design issue"

Anybody has more info on this?

There's 2 visions. One like the argos pic (legs outside of the speakers ) one like on the box legs inside the speakers.
The speakers are down facing. Ie not forwarding facing like most sound bars.

Have had the bar tuning its self off . I think it's my TV remote doing it. Odd tho
