Hitachi have not made TVs in years. This is a cheap argos rebrand. Shame that formerly quality marques would pimp their brand to flog inferior products. Still, that is a lot of TV for the money so heat

I have the 42" version of this TV and I would not recommend. The picture quality is great but the sound quality is extremely bad. It's very quiet and turning up the volume only amplifies the issues. You can hear the speakers rattle at just a moderate volume. If you buy this TV with a sound bar then this solves this issue. It's worth the price as long as your willing to upgrade the sound. Also "Smart apps" only consists of iPlayer and Youtube so don't expect to be playing netflix or amazon prime on this. Another issue I found is that playing anything through HDMI makes the picture very dark and I have to keep adjusting the brightness between sources.

To be honest I've read a few reviews of flat screen tv's. Most of them say due to them getting thinner, sound quality suffers. A sound bar is a must for a lot of them so the reviews lead me to believe.

I thought it was the shows on HDMI but after seeing other comments I agree, not great. Also doesn`t connect to wifi if you use Talk Talk. Poor quality but as said, you get what you pay for. Also would add, DO NOT bother calling ARGOS tech support re any issues, a total waste of time and money.
