Well if the TV is reasonably well designed then it should display the 50Hz UK TV signals just fine but I have no idea if this handles motion well or not.

I wonder what'll happen to the universe the day a TV's posted here that's free from being nit picked?

Not 60hz? Dealbreaker :c

Cold I paid £259. Wait for the price to drop and then buy it also search HUKD for the reviews.

It is my understanding and please correct me if I'm wrong. Hitachi don't make TV's anymore but lend their name to a "cheaper" brand of TV. Not saying there is anything wrong with this but don't expect to buy a TV made by a quality Japanese manufacture.

That's certainly the case in the UK, Hitachi sold the rights to use their name to Argos (or Home retail group) and so you usually get a Vestel made TV with Hitachi stuck on it. Vestel don't necessarily make bad TV's but they are at the budget end and make them for other brands like (budget) Toshiba's and also Vestel's brand 'Finlux'

I tried out a Vestel made Toshiba 32" Full HD TV and it wasn't bad, it produced fair images and sound but wasn't as slim and stylish as a Samsung/Sony/Panasonic LCD.

Don't bother with this TV. I had this one for about 3 days. Awful picture, awful sound. I sent it straight back and spent another £180 and got an amazing Samsung equivalent. Please take my advice and invest a little more money. As the old famous saying goes, you get what you pay for!!!!!!!!

That was my experience. My Vestel-produced Hitachi TV proved very unreliable, with several changes of the PSU. Hitachi refused any back up, so I have since paid £1000 for a superb Panasonic.

rubbish cant even go on netflix

Check out my post on the following deal (page2) where I have taken images of the manual which shows that this TV is capable of 60Hz output-
