Hitachi angle grinder £34 @ Amazon

Found 29th May
I was looking for a new angle grinder and found this. It seems a good deal - cheaper than green Bosch or Black and Decker ones and I think Hitachi are more of a professional brand? Sorry if this isn't as good as I think, it's my first post.

Thanks for posting @HappyCamper1 and welcome to the site
Think there is one on Argos for about twenty quid, it's guaranteed so who cares if it burns out.

Try pointing bricks 'powerbrick' with a cheap grinder, you'll wish you had spent the extra fourteen quid!

Where's your proof that this will be any better..... You have none.

What about screwfix's Titan range, £25 plus you can pick up a load of disks while you are at it

Might be able to gather a bit of evidence if you quoted which grinder are you referring to in argos. I see this has a three year warranty. Good for starters eh? ://hitachi-powertools.co.uk/powertools/angle-grinders/g12stx

Some specs to compare your grinder with!

600W
Adjustable Guard
2-Position Side Handle
All-Metal Gearbox
Fan-Cooled Motor
Lock-On/Off Switch
Dust-Sealed Bearings
Spindle Lock
Replaceable Brushes

only one for the price I mentioned.

2 year warranty
Nearly half this one's price.
Still no proof that you can't point brickwork.

If it's this it doesn't even have a lock to hold it on and loads of reviewers saying it overheats. I take it you've never tried grinding out pointing??

Is that thing good and strong enough to cut 30mm cement slabs?

I've got this, not the smoothest sounding (to be fair that could just be mine) but does the job. I wouldn't bother considering DIY brands when this is so cheap.

30mm cutting depth is about the most you'll get from a small grinder, but you'll probably be there a while. I'd go for a 9" for cutting slabs.

I just need to cut 5-7 slabs (small garden work). Most likely I will not to cut slabs never more...

Filter: rating, low to high, won't take long, or maybe just buy the Simple 'Value' one, keep the receipt. Gotta go now, really don't know how I got in to comparing Hitachi tools with 'Simple Value' ask a tradesman see if they'll give you an answer without laughing.

This doesn't come with a case or discs. I would say an alternative if these are important cost considerations is the makita ga4530rkd for approx £50
