Hitachi drils are far better than your average Bosch
This is down from 77 quid.

(Homebase are clearing out because they have been bought by an Aussie firm so some bargains there.)

This is cracking for the price, I got the last one from Harrow Weald branch, but mine was £40. 18V, comes with two 1.5Ah batteries, so not the highest rating, but great for the money.

I forgot to mention that you can register online for a three year guarantee.

What gets me about homebase it says I can purchase instore but not reserve one online. At least tell me if its in stock to save me a wasted journey.

could you tell me are the batteries the type you push into a hole in the charger or is it slot in type , have a dead charger so if they are the old style it would be a great way to bring the old drill back to life

I bought a hitachi unit ...... the unit its self has been great........ taken a beating but one of the two batteries dies within 12 months. CS was very poor indeed!

One in stock behind the CS desk at Homebase Southend on sea

Nope, its full price.
