Had this for over a year now, cracking drill cracking price! Hot!

Don't own one but have frequent access to one and agree with gav2pac. A very well balanced drill and therefore easy to use. BTW have I missed something re B&Q? I have a Diamond Card (ie old fogies Wed 10% discount). If "members" get 20% off, what are they members of and what does it cost to become one?

Dropped my battery and it stopped working, got told Li Ion's are delicate compared to old skool batts so swapped mine over.

Ozodimal you can go on the b an q website and sign up for there club thingy on there. All it does is give you a clubcard (although you don't get an actual card just a number to remember) and puts you into a monthly draw to win £10k providing you have bought something that month. The 20% off applies to everyone I think

joeyjoejoe

Thanks, I went to the B&Q site and found the same answer there. Indeed I signed up online so am now a member as well. Just a question of waiting for the call re the £10k now ;-)

Seriously hot. Cheapest it's been in 3 years. Buy it. It's a great drill.

Best drill on the market for the money. 1 hour charger is a dream and with two batteries that go on and on.
You will not beat this drill for value and they sell the batteries on screwfix if you want spares, the standard 1.5amp and heavier duty ones. B&Q are always good on warranties and guarantees too so any problems, it's money back or exchange.

I've had the drill three years too, same as shakeyjake66 and I cannot fault it. You compare this drill with the likes of a NiCd Dewalt and the Hitachi wins hands down. The only people I can imagine who should not buy this drill are those who already own a tonne of battery power tools of a different brand such as Dewalt, Makita, etc and have a load of the same batteries that fit all their tools. If you're after a combi drill and the brand of the battery, i.e. in order to fit to other power tools, doesn't matter then look no further.

As for the drill itself, outperforms any of the old-hat NiCds in all areas inc. weight, power, battery-life, charging.

Fantastic drill.
Have some hotness.

Has this ended? I can't find it on their website & my 18v makita has just shat itself
