For that sort of money i'd get a decent brand camera instead

Agree, Hitachi don't make good cameras and you can get a Canon, Nikon or Sony for almost the same.

Hitachi don't make cameras at all, never mind good ones. It's just one of those 'pay to use name on product' things.

Sorry, may look like a deal to the naive but it's a horrible camera so very poor value even at this price. Fujis keep cropping up at this sort of price (new, not refurbs) and would be a much better buy - or spend another 20 quid or so and get something really decent.

47 of 52 90% customers would recommend this product to a friend.

I know it's argos reviewers but they can't all be numpties, can they?

In my experience everyone is a numpty. It is very discouraging.

So 2 out of 52 gave one star, versus 30 giving 5 and 17 giving 4 - leaving only 5 giving 3 stars or less.

Most all of the reviews you see will have a small percentage of negs. Based on the the above results and the fact that "90% customers would recommend this product to a friend." I don't feel the cold votes are justified.

Oh, OK - it must be everyone else who's wrong then.
