Just saw this camera, thought it was a good price.

Uses a cheap and nasty CMOS censor, if you have a half decent new'ish phone with a camera it will likely be similar (or better) picture quality.

Still, it's £20, so good for holidays etc in case you're worried about losing a good camera.

Actually 99% of people will immediately notice the grainy'ness and lack of sharpness of photo's taken with this camera.
You'd have to be at least partially blind to think the quality was anything other than awful.

You'd be better off spending the same money on a second hand ancient 2-4MP Fuji etc, as the picture quality would be so much better (e.g. fleabay item 300477877378).

A friend bought ones ages ago to take on holiday (unfortunately at my suggestion at the time), so I heard plenty about how bad it was before he showed the the pics so I could see for myself.

The fact is most Hitachi electronics these days is rebranded cheap Chinese products, and they've gradually got worse over the last couple of years.

This is a great gift for the kids, spend a penny or a pound they are still gonna break it. Photography is about enjoyment and my kids take great pleasure in photograping anything and everything..... Although I did hear them arguing about who likes chocolate more, or maybe I misheard and it was the intricacies and depth of Amstel........
"I dont think kids deserve such rubbish presents" you must be very wealthy; thats why your looking at a £20 camera......Presents and parenting is about what you get out of it, not what you pay....
Heat from me

BEWARE, got mine through this morning, took it out this evening and its functioning badly. VERY glitchy not sure if i just received a faulty one or if the batteries they supplied are not sufficient, but it just keeps turning itself off after I take a photo. Straight after it flashes it goes off and I have to turn it back on and it never saves the photo so is useless. Anyone else had issues?

definately faulty, tried multiple cards and batteries so its going straight back for a full refund! Anyone had any joy with theirs want to vouch for its quality?
