Seems a good price, but i would rather trust a gopro, even if just for the availability of spares like the lens on the housing or new mounts. I have the older gopro 2 and use it for trail and motocross and its such a nice bit of kit. If this works just as well as gopro then its a bargain.

50 min filming time is really poor, presumably itsw even less at the highest quality.

I have this camera from the last time it was on here, I have used it extensively for Ice Hockey and Mountain Biking and it's brilliant. The recording time is easily **** 30mins of constant recording, NOT 50 mins. Extra batteries are cheap and plentiful on eBay. I got 2 extra and an external charger for under £15 including postage. I can't wait to take this skiing next month.

I would not risk a £300 gopro for ice hockey but at £60 when I got it it's slightly more bearable if it gets hit with a puck.

Please ask if you want to know more, this is HOTHOTHOT!

1 hour and 30 mins, not sure why that got censored.

You're comparing a £50 camera to a £200+ one.......there are several videos on youtube (including the last few minutes of the review i posted) that show the quality of the camera, have a look and judge for yourself. Gopros are great but i can't justify spending £200-300 for an action camera (unless i'm using it professionally) when you can get one for less than 1/4 of the price with 3/4 of features and quality.
Re. the battery life, , some have stated the battery lasts longer than that but don't quote me on it. It takes SLB-10A batteries which usually go for about £5-6 on amazon so you can pack a couple and extend that significantly.

This was posted a few month ago but I missed out. Nice find OP and this time round I'm able to reserve one.

Hmmm, thanks for this, I will have to seriously consider getting one.

I love hukd! I was looking at GoPro's yesterday and thinking of not bothering 'cause of the price, just hope this is worth a punt.

We've got a Pentax WG1, which we are not impressed by (probably because we bought it on fleabay!)...

Will let you know how we get on and may be back with questions Scubadoc and Gingus!!

This looks to be a better deal than the Lidl £89.99 I got for wifes bike before Christmas.
I use Gopro with Battery Backpac.

Be interesting if these record whilst charging unlike GoPro..

Got a mate who knocks up Ram ball mounts and other motorcycle mounts for these types of cameras at a fraction of Ram prices..
Using Ram makes opens up all sorts of mounting types.

Mmmm...ok, picked it up and had a play with it and seems ok for the money.

But, bit annoyed that there is no viewfinder, so no idea what taking pics/vids of! Also, it only lets me delete pics/vids on the camera itself and not on my computer when hooked up?? Perhaps its my computer, but it comes up with right protected and not able to delete. The mount system for the waterproof case looks a little vunerable and it could easily slip out, so to be doubly safe i will be taping/tying it on!

Took it underwater today, and it coped really well. Waterproof housing works. Vids really bright and clear. Happy Thanks op

i use this. its actually pretty good for the price. shame i dont have anything worth posting on youtube yet.

Got one of these just before Christmas, good picture quality but problem I find is the constant vibration makes the video very bumpy (that's on a bike!).

Shame it's not waterproof to a decent depth for diving like the Gopro otherwise I'd be all over this.

Techmoan is very interesting and for anyone looking for a dash-cam he recommends this one

I got one of these for Christmas, the bike mount isn't very good as the mount that the camera slides onto is wobbly when clipped in. The harness is ok to use, but on a mountain bike with the camera set at 1080 your view is of handle bars and hands. Best set the camera to 720p 60fps as its a wider field of view.
I've not tried the helmet mount yet, but its not a bad camera for the cash.

go no need for one but I gotta get one

Bit disappointing that there is no memory card slot but well its only £50

Just saw that it accepts sd cards so why only 50mins??

Brilliant

There is a memory card slot.
It's a good budget camera look on google for the PQI Air cam it's the same camera but with the PQI Air card.
I have one on my RC Quad copter

Pqi is over £100

Mate got one battery lasted 75mins .. well it is brand new , not many charges.

Get spare battery and charger off ebay.

Can you spoof the battery limit by connecting an extended battery pack via the USB charge port?

Bought this cam last time around when it was £59 + got x2 spare batteries from eBay for £4. Quick test and it looks pretty good, will be using it skiing in the USA in a couple of weeks. For £50, is not a massive risk.

Hmm, very tempted to plug for this but want one with a bit better reviews and under £100.. Whats a cheap alternative to go pro thats actually high quality?

Not much I'm aware of but check out action cameras, they might be a place to start.

Im going skiing tomorrow and was thinking about getting one. Does it come with an adequate helmet mount / straps?

Just got it home and tried it out chest harness good very sturdy, the helmet mount not sure have not mounted it yet but had 3M adhesive for what its worth so should be ok and a bike mount that also looks good quality. Setting up the date time and resolution is all very easy. 1 button for mode menu and then the shutter button is the start stop. For £50 its worth buying, batteries are a couple of quid each on eBay and a dual wall charger will give me ample charged batteries for a days boarding
