Nice one!

Do you have a link to that gooner?

Paid 300 for this a while back and really pleased with it, bargain!

Are all of these recent TV's using similar panels or something?

they all seem to be the same spec with a 50Hz refresh rate. Odd

Edit: Referring to this deal - tesco.com/dir…prd

and another I can't find atm

yes because they are all made by vestel

Why is the depth of this LED tv so thick, 10cm?

My LED Samsung is less than half the depth of this.

It looks the small size as the LCD tv i've got. oO

Good price though.

dept isnt everything unless wall mounting , if its wider might have better speakers

Bought this yesterday and it's got an amazing screen for an amazing price and yes you also get argos £10 voucher with the TV might buy another one for the house

was tempted, but 10cm depth is off putting. Would look silly on the wall.

Can you buy one for me too?

no netflix

I have one of the first plasma TVs made by Hitachi and it's still going strong about 12 years later

As I've got one of these myself I thought I might just add some extra info to the thread. To those who say it is thick I would say it is fairly thick although not as big as our 5 year old Toshiba Regza. I might add a photo a bit later to give you guys an idea of how thick it is.

In regards to apps on the actual TV it has iPlayer and a few other apps not tons but it's ok. What isn't mentioned is that in the Hitachi Smart Center app (for iOS and Google) is a button that you press that allows you to bring up the web browser. Why this isn't on the TV remote I don't know but that improves what it can do.

Sound quality is ok we have adjusted one of the frequencies in the equaliser so that it has more bass and adjusted some of the other sound settings and I must say it doesn't sound amazing but it's very good for an LED TV and I can personally live with it.

Yes these TVs are made by Vestle and they make TVs for other brands and other shops. They are a very large manufacturer of these cheaper TVs I've had a Vestle made TV for the last 5-6 years and it's still going strong so don't let that put you off.

Overall I would say this TV is very good and I would highly recommend it. It's very nice and what does actually make it look very nice is it's very thin bezel which makes the TV look like mostly screen. If anyone wants any more info feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.

Here's a link to the Hitachi Smart TV website. Included is a link to the apps.

Hopefully if it works below will be an image of the TV. The measurements are of the thickest bit which is thicker than the rest of the TV. The widest part is where the plug goes into the TV it's only a small piece towards the base of the TV you can see it on the photo. Also the TVs rear bows inwards towards the middle although you might not tell on the photo so actually overall it isn't really 10cm it just has bits that are thicker at 10cm.This photo might make it look thicker than what it looks when you actually see it with your own two eyes. It looks thicker on here than when I look at it.

Was reading something about these Smart TV's in one of the papers Friday. OK so it's in the daily mail but the 'investigation' was conducted by Which? so there might be some credibility?

can i browse in this tele?

There's likely a handful of screws in your way but a good screwdriver and about 5 minutes later you could be browsing in your tele...

Does this not have Netflix ?
