No, not as good as Nest if you want smart home integration.

for the money it is great. easy to install and simple to use. you csn control via a app on your phone or tablet.
Is the offer only for the full system? Moved house a couple of months back, Hive receiver and thermostat already installed, but need the hub to use with app. Best offer I can see at the moment is £64 just for the hub

how easy to install
Image shows a hub is included, and product code(s) are searchable on Toolstations website, which in product description also states that hub is included
My system is duel zone, I understand that hive 1 can only control 1 zone and hot water. Can I use this to control 1 zone and hot water, then leave the 2nd zone on the normal thermostat? Could I install it in series with the current controller/ timer?
Thanks.

It seems pretty straight forward to install. Instructions are very good if you get confused.
I was holding out for a Nest but this is so very tempting!

You could install it in series and yes you could still connect hot, heating and leave the second zone seperate. I would only attempt this if you know what you are doing.

You could purchase the item and sell the bits you dont need on ebay and recuperate some money back.
Is this for hot water tank or it can be used with combi boiler?

There are two types, heating only for combi boilers and heating and hot water for gravity fed tank based systems.

Lots of useful info in this previous deal ...

Does anyone know if you can add additional thermostats for this system and have one upstairs and one downstairs for example?
Are these rf do we know as my current one is and i don't want to chase out the newly plastered walls?
Was showing interest in this, but the negative reviews on Amazon have really put me off!
Heat added, but a quick query.
Is this for the version 1 system (not the current v3?)

Can I control my heating over the internet (phone app or web browser) without a subscription? The Hive website implies you need to subscribe to 'hive active heating' to do this, which costs £5.95/month.

Thanks
I am interested in knowing that as well
Go go go. The deal is live!
Just ordered for pick up tomorrow. Thanks OP.
Scorching deal - just ordered mine. Use code SAVE5MAY17 for an extra £5 off at checkout.
Fitted one on my sons flat. You can't go wrong for £60.

I'm controlling mine from the app/web without a sub. Of course they could move the goalposts at any time but that would annoy alot of customers

Did the code actually work for you? I never even tried it as it was meant to run out yesterday.

Has he complained of the signal dropping out etc?
Reviews on Amazon say it keeps dropping out, even in line of sight...

Was accepted and knocked the total down to £55 when I tried it after interloper posted it, although I didn't go ahead and purchase. Not accepted now, I guess that code expired at midnight.

It's been installed for over 6 months and I've not had any complaints from him. We've got the Hive 2 and the only difference is the shiny thermostat box. I didn't think twice when Screwfix did if for £55 as it was an absolute steal.

I installed two before Christmas following the screwfix deal and both have been rock solid. I find the thermostat gets in the way a bit as I never use it to turn things on so it's just a temp sensor really.
