Features "self installation" ha ha ha
there was one on the warehouse deals as new with 20% off...but i bought it just - sry
If you need this for a combo boiler.
Buy this
Call hive to say U have a combi boiler
Hive will send the unit free
Just be aware that if you have a new modern boiler this is not ‘OpenTherm’ compatible so you’d be better of with the Nest or any other ‘Opentherm’ smart thermostat.

The Hive can only switch on/off a boiler, Opentherm can so much more.

Yes! I purchased hive. Had it for a year.
Changed my boiler system to combi.
Called hive to say the current unit is incompatible.
They sent a new one for a combi boiler free.
Works vice versa too

I think the one for Combi boiler is also 124.99 at amazon, no?

amazon.co.uk/dp/…P4G

I know nothing about these things by the way, so I might be wrong.
Assume these are being cleared to make way for ones with the new 360 hub?

Just got one too for £95 Cheers mate for the heads up!
Does anyone know the switching capacity (ie Amps) for the hive's inbuilt relay? - to control an electric room heater rather than imerrsion (as they may have different specs.)

Also - is it solid state (so silent) or mechanical (and thus 'clicky')?
Hope this is better than the netamo one, nothing but issues with it and zero support.
Worked well for the first year although eats away at the AAA batteries.
what if I have an old combi boiler would this work? I mean really old. worcerster 24cdi

Me too, thanks for heads up. No just to find someone to install it
Does it have the same receiver what Hive 1 system ? Just wondering if I could upgrade the thermostat only ?

Is the little button actually part of the boiler itself? Is your timer wireless?

Sorry, not too sure about this. Was hoping you'd already have a remote timer (with wired switch) which you could replace with the hive.
I suspect that it's possible with your boiler - but I wonder if you might be best getting the professional installation? If the pro tells you you can't do it, maybe you could get your money back on the hive. Really sorry I can't help further.

Thanks - I think back to my 'DIY' smart thermostat plans.
