If you can wait till Black Friday (a couple of months ) it will be down to £109 self install , £149 professional install with a free echo dot thrown in (as it was last year ) - One of the few BF deals worth having last year .

Self install is simple (did mine in under an hour ) .

Does anyone know if this is just heating or heating & hot water? Advert seems inaccurate either way.
Regardless of price - if anyone's thinking of getting Hive it's a good system and works really well. Heat all round. Literally.
Got it from Costco last Year..very good service
Did a self install for our heating and it’s so ridiculously easy you’d be daft to get the ‘professional’ install.

They sell two types - one for old style heating - which requires a separate switch for the hot water - and one for a combi boiler. Ensure you have a receiver that deals with hot water too. Although we originally had a hot water and heating reciver I then changed the boiler to a combi and the old receiver needed to be replaced at around £25. The other bits of the kit remained the same and are interchangeable. Had this system for about 3 years now and it's brilliant.

Perhaps that's the case for just heating?
Although I imagine some people's setups must be more complicated than others.

We have heating and hot water (tank based).
Ours is an old system and took the very experienced engineer around a couple of hours to get everything done.

Cold for me. Had installed this for way lower than this months back by British Gas.

I just checked (i'm BG customer) and it currently costs £198 with free echo dot.
If anyone already has a wireless British Gas thermostat, you simply unscrew the receiver from the wire block and screw-on the hive receiver. That's all I did to install mine and it was a 10 minute job
Think I paid 135 incl installation on prime day. Yeah I know "time machine blah blah blah". I'd say it's probably worth hanging on for a better deal. Not voted either way.
This was on here last week in Amazon Warehouse used like new for £87,I bought one and it was brand new just a tear in box.It was for a combi boiler but self install, but it was easy too install yourself from YouTube...
