If you add a couple of Hive dimmable bulbs 2 pack for £35 then the hub is 40 quid instead of 80, makes it 59+40+35=£134 for Thermostat/Receiver/Hub Echo Dot and 2 bulbs, you can pick different bulbs or any other 2 items on top of the stat and hub to make it half price.

Pic shows it here without the £40 refer bonus but take 40 quid off this.....

I should reclarify this actually, if you want to control your heating from outside the house or within the house via the app you need the hub, if you don't have the hub you put the Stat into standalone mode and just control it with the knob on the stat itself.
I may get the Gas safe policeman on my case again but for anyone wondering how easy they are to fit this video will help, if you have an external timer/switch etc then it's easy, if your controls are in the boiler then go for the install.

They will fit a combi boiler but go for heating only.

Good deal. Some of us got the thermo, receiver and hub for £80 when on offer via Amazon warehouse. But not all of us got new. Think this is a better deal. As just buy hub seperately.
how much is the hub on its own?
When you try and enter an email address to claim the £40 off, it keeps coming up with same error..... "There's a delay in processing your reward and we're looking into it."

I know these questions get asked a lot, so apologies. This works for a combi boiler right? What's is the hub for? All I want is a thermostat to control the heating and hot water. Thanks

Same thing here.
How easy is it to get someone to rig up to a combi. We have quite an old baxi 108e but want a better way of controlling
What is the hub for? Anyone know?

The same boiler, the same question.
Ordered thanks!

Seemed to work when I logged in with my own Hive account and sent the referral to another email. The code I received still worked on my own account.

Hope this helps those that are stuck!
I have 1st gen Hive (that white plastic one. I think the hub is the same. Is it just a matter of pairing the new thermostat with the hub and the app?
Sorry, there's a delay processing your reward. - uh oh .. anyone else having this?

Yes mine was the same. Used different email addresses and the link so maybe they've clocked on.

You after some free lights?

Just paying it forward
What I don’t get is, if you click on the link without hub for £99. It still says

“Hive Active Heating without Hive Hub

Manage your heating and hot water from your smartphone with our beautifully designed smart thermostat.”

So do you need hub or not :/

Yeah that’s what I thought you meant, Cheers

It's a shame they didn't make the stat Bluetooth to be honest, think they just are forcing you to buy the hub for wifi.
Worked for me.....thanks

A bit crafty that you also need a hub to access the system when away. I've got the Drayton Wiser system and the hub is built into the box that connects to the boiler.
Hi Bill I hope it’s as easy as you say. I‘ve recently purchased x2 of these using this deal plus a separate hub using BG 50% off accessories discount. All told 59+59+40 plus I got two free dots. Just have to figure how to install them now - gulp!

Fire me a PM if you need help ;-)
Does the hub come on offer by itself. Always seen it as part of a deal

It's £80 but if you add a couple of Hive bulbs as well it's half price so effectively the bulbs are free.
I got this working by doing the referral by name at checkout using an Incognito browser and using a completely new email address.
Thanks OP.

Nope its for both. you have to select your reciver

It asks you which you have and does both as part of the order process. Either a combi or one with separate water tank.

I'm still thinking if I should order as I have Hive lights and plugs, so installation is easy.
I have a hive controller and hub for my upstairs heating and water can I replace 3 x polypie programmers with 3 hive on my downstairs underfloor heating. I wired the upstairs in myself it was relatively easy thanks for any advice

These are glorified on off switches Live - Neutral two closed and two open circuits in the receiver. thermostat is just a wifi device and can be sited anywhere.
