This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

  • Hive Motion Sensor - Detects motion in your home and sends notifications to your phone if movement is detected
  • Hive App - Allows you to schedule six notification time slots per day with easy turn on/off notifications
  • Control from Anywhere - Receive notifications to your smartphone from anywhere in the world
  • Compatible with other Hive Appliances - Link with other Hive devices in the app so your home works seamlessly when you're in
  • Hive Hub Required - Designed to fit perfectly into a corner of your room or on any wall, simply pair with the Hive Hub and app and you're all set

I've had my eye on these for some time and this looks like the best price so far.

FYI - There may be a subscription to use it? Anyone confirm this please?

Plus Window/Door detector - same price

Anyone have these do they work well?
Have one of these, works fine with Hive. Can schedule it on activation to turn on various lights etc. Tempted for another at this price. Only downside on mine was the stick pad for the wall was useless
I have one in my downstairs toilet off the back of my utility, which connects to an active plug to then switch the lights on for 2 mins, on a schedule from evening to morning (as they light not needed during the day). Works well for me and saved wiring lights in, just used a spare set of Christmas tree lights (white), settled small hole through for the plug (fed through without the plug obviously), so now the old toilet has ambience!
@Grumpster@Rickardo Thanks for the comments.

Does it need a subscription?

Cheers

I currently have the Hive heating and this runs without Alexa etc but I believe, if you wanted to, you can include it within Alexa etc
Used one with Hue Lights... hit and miss, sometimes the lights wouldnt turn off after set time, normally after several motion activations before bulb turns off, frustrating
These are the same price at Currys plus they have an additional 10% off

No sub needed. You just need the hive hub connected to a router
Isn’t it better Off buying smart camera with motion detection for the same price like Tp-link ?

Yes I got one from Hive two weeks ago on their half price sale. It works well with my lights. A recommended addition to Hive lighting
Shows as £18 for me
Also, the door sensor is £17

What's the hive light bulbs like now? I bought one over a year ago and couldn't live with the delay in picking a colour on the app and that colour change occuring on the bulb. The Philips Hue bulbs were instantaneous in updating when picking a colour from the app. I switched everything to Philips Hue but the movement sensors and heating are still from Hive.

Used as secondary house alarm for some time with no issues, it’s a reasonable price unlike many Hive items. One complaint is that it’s not well catered for in the app as there is no quick action support to turn the sensor on - you have to go right into the sensor setting on the app to turn notifications on

Just gotta beware that if getting your order done through Currys tonight, the SMART10 code only applies to one item in the order for some reason. I wanted two motion sensors so have had to do two separate orders.
Thanks OP.. Just ordered.
Cheaper on the HIVE website buying in bulk and using the 50% off BG rewards voucher code
Just bought a hive outside camera from hive with 50% off cost me about £90 not bad can you the code up to 10 times I have hive heating lights sensors. Got hive sensor in the garage to tell me if someone’s in.

No, I don't have a subscription.
I was just looking into purchasing this but after reading the reviews (recent ones) people are stating that you must have a monthly subscription for it to work?

amazon's reviews mix up all the sensors. That is for the moisture sensor they are talking about.
I read hive and Hue are playing together now with their lighting. Would these trigger hue lights to switch on? Or is their playing together just meaning you can control Hue in the Hive app?
Currently these are 50% off at British Gas rewards

Do you have pets? It would be bad if they keep setting it off.

What do you use the sensor for? Operating lights etc I was thinking of getting this or the door sensor to turn off the lights when I leave but I’m thinking it will activate at the wrong moment like if I just go outside but I’m not leaving or when I’m inside and someone else leaves. Or it goes out of sync and it doesn’t know if we are coming or going.
can these be used to make a Alexa make a noise like an alarm if motion gets picked up?
