I have two, reason for buying was to use as security when im away, instead of a house alarm which everyone just ignores if its going off, it will txt me if anyone moves in the house.
I have a problem where the night vision makes the slightest spec of dust floating past the camera shine up like a shooting star and when im abroad it just keeps texting me in the middle of the night saying something is moving and waking me up for nothing every night.
I end up turning off the alerts rendering them useless for what i initially purchased them for at a huge £350 i kind of regret it lol.
My house is hoovered and cleaned daily by my ocd missus and i tried putting them on the lowest sensitivity, hoovering all around the room, sides, ornaments, ceiling, everywhere before leaving and same happened again.
So mine dont get used anymore sadly and i wish id have just bought £30 xiaomi cameras which can be controlled and turn 360 degrees.
Also the speaker is really quiet making two way chat disappointing and its loud on my friends xiaomi too

It's not just the camera it works on, but that's what I ordered. I dont get how people vote down when it's a decent deal if someone is wanting Hive. I see it too often on here that things get voted down because that person doesn't like a brand or product. That doesnt make it a bad deal which is what this site is for. Deals

People are voting down because of the downward trend in HIVE product quality and customer service. Hive originally started off with a solid sales pitch with the Heating and Bulbs and great support.

Fast forward a 2 years, customer service (online chat) has gone (even though the muppets on their forums will say the link is there) and the products which they are releasing are untested and poorly implemented. For example, The water leak sensor was a dudd and they had the cheek to charge a monthly fee for the service, now the same with the shambolic Hive Radiator Valves TVRs, total mess, don't work, loads of returns and an App that doesn't even support all the functions on them.

Why release a product without proper App support?

Hive are toast, they are not a leader in any aspect now, even Nest come up with better innovations than Hive. Hive bring out a product to market about 4 years after everyone else, yet still manage to mess it up.

So yes, Hive deserve all the negative feedback, because they got too smug with the initial draw of customers, then sat back and done nothing to keep customers happy.
Yes but like I clearly said that doesnt make something a bad deal. It makes it a bad product/service. It is still a good deal for someone looking to get Hive products. Also like I said it happens to often on good deals that people just don't like the product
